Immediately after receiving the report, the ward police dispatched a task force to the scene to verify and investigate. Recognizing the suspect's reckless behavior and disregard for the law, the Truong Vinh ward police, in coordination with the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police, conducted an investigation. At 3 PM on January 13, 2026, the Truong Vinh ward police arrested Nguyen Van Son, a neighbor of Mr. C.

At the police station, Son initially prevaricated, denied the crime, and refused to cooperate. However, faced with overwhelming evidence, he had to admit to the crime. According to his confession, due to a conflict in their daily lives, at approximately 5:40 AM on January 12, 2026, Son used a metal crowbar to repeatedly strike Mr. C.'s car, causing property damage.

Currently, the Truong Vinh Ward Police are consolidating the case file to prosecute the suspect according to the law.
