Dak Lak Provincial Police have arrested nine individuals for using weapons in a violent brawl.
Regarding the fight that resulted in two people being hospitalized in Ea Drăng commune, Dak Lak Provincial Police have arrested nine suspects and are consolidating evidence to prosecute dozens of others involved.
The Criminal Investigation Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Police has just carried out an urgent arrest warrant for 9 individuals involved in a violent brawl using dangerous weapons that occurred in Ea Drang commune. The incident resulted in 2 people being seriously injured and hospitalized in critical condition.
Conflicts stemming from social media led to brawls.
According to initial investigations, the incident stemmed from a personal conflict between Pham Van Tung (16 years old) and Ho Viet Huy (20 years old), both residing in Ea Drang commune, Dak Lak province. After arguing, the two exchanged messages via Messenger, arranging to meet late at night to resolve their dispute.
At approximately 1:00 AM on June 20th, two groups of dozens of young men, armed with various dangerous weapons, gathered at the ecological dam area in Hamlet 1, Ea Drang Commune. There, the individuals used machetes, crossbows firing BB pellets, and bricks and stones to attack each other, causing chaos in the area.

Consequences and handling by authorities
The brawl resulted in two members of Tung's group being seriously wounded by knife attacks. Immediately after receiving the report, the Ea Drang commune police, in coordination with the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police, quickly deployed forces to verify the information and apprehend the suspects involved.
At the scene and during the search, authorities seized 10 knives of various types and a crossbow that fires steel BBs. In addition to the 9 suspects arrested, the police also identified 8 other individuals under 18 years old, who were handed over to their families for bail, while 2 others currently receiving treatment at the hospital are being monitored for further processing.
Currently, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Police is continuing to consolidate the case file and take statements to strictly handle the suspects in accordance with the law.
