The Nghe An Provincial Police Department announces decisions on rank promotion and salary increase for 2025.
On May 30th, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department held a ceremony to announce the decision on promotion in rank and salary increase for 2025. Major General Bui Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Provincial Police Department, presided over the ceremony.
Attending the ceremony were members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial Police, and 141 heads of departments and commune-level police chiefs who were promoted in rank and received salary increases in 2025.
In 2025, the Provincial Police Promotion and Salary Increase Review Council reviewed promotions and salary increases for nearly 2,000 officers, of which 21 officers had the authority to be reviewed and decided by the Minister of Public Security, and more than 1,900 officers had the authority to be decided by the Director of the Provincial Police.
Notably, this round saw 141 comrades in leadership positions and heads of commune-level police stations promoted in rank and salary; 19 comrades were promoted and received salary increases ahead of schedule by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Public Security Department, including 1 comrade awarded the Third-Class Military Merit Medal and 18 comrades awarded the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier of the entire People's Public Security Force".
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Provincial Public Security Department - emphasized that the 141 comrades who are promoted in rank and receive salary increases in this round, including heads of departments and heads of commune-level police stations, are all outstanding officers who have earned the trust of the Ministry of Public Security, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and the Provincial Public Security Department, and have been entrusted with leadership positions at all levels of the Public Security force; they have achieved many outstanding accomplishments in the cause of building and protecting national security.
In their respective positions, under any circumstances, these comrades have consistently demonstrated unwavering political resolve, impeccable moral character, and a high sense of responsibility and competence, successfully fulfilling their assigned duties and responsibilities. The Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Public Security Department's promotion in rank and salary reflects the recognition and high appreciation of their significant contributions to the cause of national security, social order and safety, and the comprehensive strengthening of the Public Security force.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Police leadership, Comrade Bui Quang Thanh warmly congratulated the efforts and achievements of nearly 2,000 officers and soldiers who were promoted in rank and received salary increases in 2025.
Currently, the security situation still harbors complex and unpredictable factors, impacting national security and social order in many ways.
In particular, in the context of the Party's policy of merging and streamlining the local government apparatus at two levels (province and commune), and eliminating the district-level government, many new requirements and tasks are placed on the police force at all levels.
Therefore, the Director of the Provincial Police Department requests that all comrades continue to uphold a high sense of responsibility, constantly cultivate moral qualities, and improve their work capacity; strive to excellently fulfill assigned tasks, contributing to building a stronger and more comprehensive Provincial Police force, worthy of being a Heroic Unit of the Armed Forces in the homeland of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
