The provincial police awarded prizes to the 917M special task force.

(Baonghean.vn) - On September 22, the Nghe An Provincial Police, the District Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Con Cuong District held a ceremony to award prizes for successfully cracking case 917M, which involved the illegal trafficking of narcotics from Con Cuong to southern provinces.

On September 20th, following investigation, surveillance, and monitoring of the suspect, the 917M special task force of the Con Cuong District Police arrested Nguyen Ho Tuan, born in 1983, residing in Bai Oi village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, while he was transporting drugs from Con Cuong district to the South for sale.

During the pursuit, the suspect fired at the police officers, but fortunately no one was injured. The seized evidence included three types of drugs with a total weight of 101 grams, including 51 ecstasy pills, 3 grams of methamphetamine, and nearly 79 grams of heroin.

In addition, authorities seized one motorcycle, one long sword, one handgun, three bullets, US$3,200, Vietnamese Dong 1.4 million, three ATM cards, three mobile phones, and one iPad.

To promptly commend and encourage the outstanding achievements of the Con Cuong District Police, the Nghe An Provincial Police have praised and awarded the 917M Special Task Force 5,000,000 VND.

On this occasion, the Con Cuong District Party Committee and People's Committee also presented a certificate of commendation and awarded 5,000,000 VND to the Con Cuong District Police force.
