(Baonghean.vn) - On September 22, Nghe An Provincial Police, Con Cuong District Party Committee and People's Committee held an award ceremony for successfully breaking up Project 917M, illegally trading drugs from Con Cuong to the southern provinces.

On September 20, through the process of investigation, reconnaissance and monitoring the subject, the 917M project team of Con Cuong District Police arrested Nguyen Ho Tuan, born in 1983, residing in Bai Oi village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, who was transporting drugs from Con Cuong district to the South for consumption.

During the pursuit, the suspect fired a gun at the police, but fortunately no one was injured. The evidence seized in the case included 3 types of drugs with a total weight of 101 grams, including 51 pink pills, 3 grams of crystal meth, and nearly 79 grams of heroin.

In addition, the authorities also seized 1 motorbike, 1 long sword, 1 pistol, 3 bullets, 3,200 USD, 1.4 million VND, 3 ATM cards, 3 mobile phones, 1 iPad.

To promptly reward and encourage the excellent achievements of Con Cuong District Police, Nghe An Provincial Police commended and awarded the 917M Project Team 5,000,000 VND.

On this occasion, the Con Cuong District Party Committee and People's Committee presented certificates of merit and a prize of VND 5,000,000 to the Con Cuong District Police./.
