Vinh City police arrested two individuals transporting over 82 kg of fireworks.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 19th, the leaders of Vinh City Police announced that they had arrested two individuals for transporting fireworks and seized over 82 kg of fireworks.

On the evening of December 18th, following a period of surveillance, the Economic and Functional Crime Prevention Police Team of Vinh City Police arrested Hong Ngoc Quang (born in 1990, residing in Nghi Xuan commune, Ha Tinh province) while he was transporting firecrackers into Vinh City for sale. The seized evidence at the scene included 22.25 kg of firecrackers.

Subsequently, on the morning of December 19th, the General Investigation Team of the Vinh City Police continued to arrest Vo Thi Quynh Hoa (born in 1963, residing in Trung Do Ward, Vinh City) while she was transporting 60 kg of smuggled fireworks into Vinh City.

At the police station, Quang and Hoa confessed that they had bought the fireworks from the black market to resell for profit, but were arrested while transporting them for sale.

The Vinh City Police are currently finalizing the case files to prosecute the suspects according to the law.
