Vinh City Police arrest case of illegal trafficking of 1,500 liters of gasoline

(Baonghean.vn)-On December 13, Vinh City Police coordinated with Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1 to arrest a case of illegal trading of large quantities of gasoline.

During the fire safety inspection before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2016, Vinh City Police and Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1 discovered a large amount of gasoline of unknown origin at the private home of Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, born in 1943, residing in Dong Tho block (Hung Dung ward).

At the scene, the police force drew up a record of violations of fire safety regulations and illegal gasoline trading, confiscating 5 200-liter drums and 19 20-liter cans containing about 1,500 liters of gasoline and many tools used to pump, withdraw, and store gasoline.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Thi's entire area containing barrels and cans of gasoline is located in the family's living rooms and areas, posing a high risk of fire and explosion.

The authorities proceeded to draw up a record of the violation.

Initial information shows that Mr. Thi's house is a place that regularly connects with tanker drivers to withdraw fuel after the tankers have just left the warehouse to transport to gas stations.

Currently, the case file is being completed to handle violations according to the provisions of law.
