Police summoned the father who chained his child in the house for questioning.
On the evening of December 1st, the leaders of the Ea Ktur commune police in Dak Lak province confirmed that they had summoned Mr. NTD (born in 1991, residing in Ea Ktur commune) for questioning regarding a video clip circulating on social media showing a young girl chained by her feet in a filthy room.
According to the leader of the Ea Ktur commune police, on the morning of the same day, the Ea Ktur commune police received a report from residents about HHNN (born in 2014) and her younger sister HLNN (born in 2017, both children of Mr. NTD) being locked in a room by their father, with one of the children chained to the bed.
Upon receiving the report, the Ea Ktur commune police quickly arrived at the scene to verify the information and discovered both children locked in a filthy room, with clothes and food scattered everywhere. One of the children, HHNN, had her feet chained to the bed.

Shortly afterward, the commune police summoned the father of the two children, Mr. NTD, for questioning. At the police station, Mr. D. confessed that the children's mother had died in a traffic accident. Both children had dropped out of school. Because there was no one to look after them, every day before going to work, Mr. D. would lock and chain the children in their room to prevent them from running around and getting into danger. Because they were chained, the girl had to eat, drink, and relieve herself in the room.
The incident is currently being investigated by the police to be handled according to the law.
