Local police quickly solved a property theft case.
During a patrol, the police of Nam Cat commune, Nam Dan district, promptly coordinated with local residents to arrest Dau Dinh Dan for the crime of theft.
Earlier, at approximately 2:50 PM on April 13th, a patrol team from the Nam Cat Commune Police, while patrolling the area, spotted a young man riding a dark blue Xmen Neo electric motorbike without a license plate on Provincial Road 539C, in the Phu Nhuan residential area, Phu Tho hamlet. He was heading from Kim Lien Commune towards the Nam Cat Commune People's Committee in Nam Dan District. Behind him, a man was running after him, shouting that he was a thief.
In response to the situation, the Nam Cat commune police promptly coordinated with local residents to approach, subdue, and successfully arrest the suspect. Upon inspection, the commune police discovered a round plastic box on the footrest of the electric motorbike containing numerous phone top-up cards of various denominations, totaling nearly 4 million VND.
The suspect identified himself as Dau Dinh Dan (born in 1996), residing in Mai Giang commune, Thanh Chuong district. The phone top-up cards were stolen from Nam Cat commune, Nam Dan district. The man who chased after Dan and shouted for help was the owner of the stolen property. The task force documented the incident and sealed all related evidence, bringing it to the Nam Cat commune police station for further investigation.
Through initial investigations, the police determined that the suspect, Dau Dinh Dan, had a prior conviction for theft and was currently under probation in the local area. The Nam Cat Commune Police have now gathered evidence and transferred the case file to the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency for processing according to the law.
