Nghe An province rises 7 places in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) after the announcement.

(Baonghean.vn) - According to the 2022 PCI ranking, Nghe An province achieved 66.60 points, ranking 23rd out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, an increase of 7 places compared to 2021 (30th out of 63).

On the morning of April 11th, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) announced the PCI 2022 results.

According to the results of the sixth PCI ranking in 2022, Quang Ninh ranked first with 72.95 points out of 100, continuing to score points with many initiatives to attract investment and reform administrative procedures.

Bac Giang ranked second for the first time, after improving by 29 positions and 8.06 points compared to the 2021 PCI. In the 2022 PCI, Bac Giang achieved 72.80 points out of 100.

Hai Phong ranked third, dropping one place compared to the 2021 PCI ranking.

Ranked 4th in the 2022 PCI (Provincial Competitiveness Index) is Ba Ria - Vung Tau with 70.26 points. Previously, the province's highest ranking was 6th out of 63 in the 2011 PCI. Ba Ria - Vung Tau is recognized for its efforts in facilitating the business environment and focusing on attracting high-quality investment projects.

Provinces and cities ranked in the top 30 of the PCI index.

Ranked fifth in the 2022 PCI (Provincial Competitiveness Index) is Dong Thap province with 69.68 points. Dong Thap is a familiar name in the top 5 of the PCI. Since the 2007 PCI, the province has been in the top 5 for governance quality for 16 consecutive years.

The remaining positions in the top 10 PCI 2022 are occupied by the provinces and cities of Thua Thien Hue (6), Bac Ninh (7), Vinh Phuc (8), Da Nang (9) and Long An (10). Except for Long An, which rose 6 places from position 16/63 of PCI 2021, the remaining localities are all present in the top 10 PCI 2021.

According to the 2022 PCI ranking, Nghe An province achieved 66.60 points, ranking 23rd out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, an increase of 7 places compared to 2021 (30th out of 63).

Hanoi ranked 20th and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 27th in the list of 30 provinces and cities with the best governance quality in the PCI 2022. In the PCI 2021, Hanoi ranked 10th and Ho Chi Minh City was 14th out of 63.

Among the localities with low scores, Cao Bang continues to be the lowest-ranked, at 63rd place with 59.58 points; Dien Bien is at 62nd place with 59.85 points, and Bac Lieu is at 61st place with 60.36 points. Dien Bien and Bac Lieu ranked 53rd and 55th respectively in the 2021 PCI.
