The Ministry of Education and Training will develop a set of trial exam questions based on five subjects and will publish them immediately after 12th-grade students complete the 2016-2017 school year program.

According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Manh Hung, in order to prepare well for the 2017 national high school graduation exam and university and college entrance exams, the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to build and improve the standardized question bank for exam preparation, further improve the national high school graduation exam management software, the Ministry's exam and admissions portal, and upgrade the information technology infrastructure to enhance the application of information technology in exams and admissions.

According to the plan, the Ministry of Education and Training will develop a set of trial exam questions based on five subjects to be published immediately after 12th-grade students complete the 2016-2017 school year program (expected in mid-May 2017), in order to help educational institutions and candidates familiarize themselves with the exam format and method.

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training also requires universities and colleges to closely coordinate with relevant provincial Departments of Education and Training in preparing for and organizing the exam, ensuring that all participants are qualified and qualified according to the Ministry's directives, and complying with the regulations. They must also prepare facilities and personnel for the admissions process, establish a hotline, and assign staff familiar with the admissions regulations to guide and answer questions for candidates.

In addition, the Ministry also directed the organization and inspection of exam preparation at the Departments of Education and Training, and admissions preparation at universities and colleges. It established inspection teams to monitor exam and admissions processes during and after the exam and admissions period. It also addressed concerns and questions regarding exams and admissions, and provided guidance on resolving difficulties and obstacles encountered during the preparation and organization of exams and admissions.

At the same time, the Ministry will continue to direct, inspect, guide, and advise educational institutions on teaching and assessment oriented towards developing students' competencies, techniques for compiling test matrices and objective multiple-choice questions, and to seriously organize the examination, assessment, and grading of students in the second semester and the entire school year, ensuring objectivity, honesty, fairness, and accurate assessment of students' actual learning abilities.

According to Deputy Minister Hung, the Ministry has also organized training on regulations, examination procedures, and the use of examination and admissions management software. The training focused on new points and common errors that occurred in previous years. The Ministry has directed provincial Departments of Education and Training to organize the registration of candidates for the national high school graduation exam and the registration for admission to regular university programs and regular college programs in teacher training from April 1st to 20th.
