According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in recent days, the media has reported the results of a survey on the effectiveness of governance and public administration at the provincial level in 2015, showing that corruption in the process of implementing administrative procedures related to granting land use right certificates has an increasing trend in localities, with about 44% of people applying for red book certificates having to "grease the wheels" to complete the procedures.
In response to the above information, in addition to setting up a hotline to receive feedback, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment requested the General Department of Land Management to urgently advise the Ministry's leaders to submit a document to the People's Committees of provinces and cities requesting direction to inspect and clarify the above issue, and report to the Ministry.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre, Mr. Le Van Lich, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Land Management, said that after setting up the hotline number, the General Department of Land Management will directly receive information.
“The General Department will have a specialized department to receive all feedback from people and businesses. After that, the content raised by people and businesses will be classified and clarified,” said Mr. Lich.
