The replacement for Coach Park Hang-seo to lead the Vietnam U22 team has been announced.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) recently announced the head coach who will lead the Vietnam U22 team at the Southeast Asian U22 Championship taking place next February.
According to Zing.vn, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan confirmed that Nguyen Quoc Tuan will replace coach Park Hang-seo to lead the Vietnam U22 national team.
The VFF (Vietnam Football Federation) also did not send players like Quang Hai, Duc Chinh, and Van Hau to this tournament. The core of the Vietnam U22 team will be players from the Vietnam U19 team along with some U21 and U22 players who have not yet had the opportunity to play for the national team.
The VFF's goal is to provide opportunities for young players ahead of the 2020 U23 Asian Cup qualifiers, while also creating a successor generation for the 2021 SEA Games to be held in Vietnam. Previously, many believed that Coach Hoang Anh Tuan would lead the Vietnam U22 team in the Southeast Asian U22 Championship, but ultimately, that wasn't the case.
Coach Tran Quoc Tuan previously led HAGL in the 2016 and 2017 seasons, achieved good results at the international U21 tournament, and has experience coaching youth national teams.
The Southeast Asian U22 Championship will kick off on February 17th and run until March 2nd, with Cambodia as the host nation.
