Announcing the person to replace Coach Park Hang-seo to lead the Vietnam U22 team
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) recently announced the head coach to lead the Vietnam U22 team at the Southeast Asian U22 Championship taking place next February.
According to Zing.vn, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan confirmed that Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan will replace coach Park Hang-seo to lead the Vietnam U22 team.
VFF also did not send Quang Hai, Duc Chinh, Van Hau to this tournament. The core of U22 Vietnam will be players from the U19 Vietnam team along with some U21 and U22 players who have not had the opportunity to be called up to the national team.
The purpose of VFF is to create conditions for the youth before the 2020 U23 Asian qualifiers and at the same time create the next generation for the 2021 SEA Games held in Vietnam. Previously, many people believed that coach Hoang Anh Tuan would lead the U22 Vietnam team to the U22 Southeast Asian tournament, but in the end, he was not.
Coach Tran Quoc Tuan led HAGL in the 2016 and 2017 seasons, had good results at the international U21 tournament and has experience as a coach in youth teams.
The Southeast Asian U22 Championship will open from February 17 to March 2, with Cambodia as the host country.
