Announcement of the decision to transfer and appoint the Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.

Attending the program were: Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; along with members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, and representatives from several departments, agencies, and localities; and officials, doctors, nurses, and employees of the hospital.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai presented Decision No. 2126/QD-UBND on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong, Director of Vinh City General Hospital, to the position of Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital. The decision is effective from June 1, 2026, and the term of office is 5 years.

The new Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, Nguyen Hong Truong, is a Doctor of Medicine, Specialist Level II, with approximately 25 years of continuous experience working at Vinh City General Hospital.

Starting as a treating physician, he rose through the ranks to hold various important managerial positions such as head of department, deputy director, and director of the hospital.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong has taken on a new role, replacing his predecessor, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Huong, who has transferred to Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai congratulated the new Director of the Hospital, Nguyen Hong Truong, on being entrusted with this new responsibility by the provincial leadership. According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong as Director of the Nghe An Friendship General Hospital not only recognizes his achievements in the past but also demonstrates the province's great trust and expectations in an official who has grown from practical experience, possesses strong management and leadership skills, and has innovative thinking.

Nghe An Friendship General Hospital is a Grade I hospital, the leading medical facility in the province, performing the highest level of technical expertise in medical examination and treatment for the North Central region.

Currently, Nghe An province is focusing on developing a project to establish a specialized medical center for the North Central region, with the hospital identified as the core and key component, gradually developing into a provincial-level special-class hospital.

In light of the demands of the new phase, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Comrade Nguyen Hong Truong and the hospital's leadership team to focus on effectively implementing three key tasks.

First and foremost, as the head of the unit, Comrade Nguyen Hong Truong needs to quickly familiarize himself with the work, utilize his management skills and experience; maintain unity and cohesion within the leadership team and the entire hospital; and build the unit to develop further and reach new heights.

In particular, the hospital needs to expand its space in the coming period; therefore, along with inheriting the achievements created by previous generations of hospital leaders, the unit needs to continue to strongly innovate its management methods and improve the quality of its operations to meet the expectations of the people in the province and the region.

The second task is to focus on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; developing specialized and advanced techniques; strengthening training and attracting a team of highly qualified and ethically sound medical staff; and continuously improving the quality of medical services and patient satisfaction.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, this is a particularly important task, requiring the new Hospital Director to quickly familiarize himself with the practical situation, fully assess the current state of affairs, and develop appropriate and effective solutions.

The third task is to proactively prepare the necessary conditions to achieve the goal of building Nghe An Friendship General Hospital into a special-class hospital; the core of the North Central Region's Specialized Medical Center; and to continue affirming its position as the leading unit of the province and one of the top medical centers in the region.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the provincial leadership highly appreciates the capabilities, experience, and work results of Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong. Therefore, taking on the new nhiệm vụ at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital is both an honor and a great responsibility, requiring him to maximize his abilities, strengths, and management experience to work with the hospital's leadership team to achieve the set goals.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized the provincial leadership's desire to gradually improve the capacity of the local healthcare system so that people in Nghe An can access high-tech services right in the province, reducing the need for referrals to central-level hospitals.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, under current conditions, transferring patients to other treatment facilities faces many difficulties for patients and their families. Therefore, the health sector needs to continue investing in developing high-quality human resources, modern equipment, and specialized techniques to better meet the healthcare needs of the people.

The comrade affirmed that in the coming time, the province will continue to pay attention to and prioritize resources for Nghe An Friendship General Hospital; at the same time, he requested the hospital's leadership to proactively develop a development plan and propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and provide timely support.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai also acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Huong - former Director of the Hospital; and expressed his hope that even though he has moved to a new environment, he will continue to show interest, share his professional and managerial experience, and work alongside the staff, doctors, and nurses of the hospital to build a more developed unit.

At the conference, the leaders of the Vinh Phu Ward Party Committee also announced and presented the decision appointing Comrade Nguyen Hong Truong to the Party Committee Executive Board, the Party Committee Standing Committee, and the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital for the term 2025 - 2030.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Nguyen Hong Truong pledged to work together with the Party Committee, the leadership board, and all Party members, officials, and employees of the hospital to promote the spirit of unity, innovation, and creativity; to inherit the positive achievements left by previous generations; and to continue building, developing, and comprehensively modernizing the hospital towards a smart, professional, and modern direction.
