Announcement of the establishment of the Nghe An Department of Tourism.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 6th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province.

Attending the ceremony were: Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

The People's Council of Nghe An province, in Resolution No. 36/NQ-HĐND dated December 16, 2016, issued a resolution separating the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province.

The Nghe An Department of Tourism was established by splitting from the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The establishment of the Department of Tourism aims to create favorable conditions for the development of Nghe An's tourism industry, truly making it a key economic sector that contributes significantly to the socio-economic development of the province.

Regarding the appointment of officials and civil servants of the Department of Tourism, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision appointing Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - to the position of Director of the Department of Tourism. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council - was appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Nguyen Xuan Duong, decided to appoint Mr. Ho Mau Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as Director of the Department of Culture and Sports. Ms. Hoang Thi Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was appointed as Deputy Director; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was appointed as Deputy Director; and Mr. Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was appointed as Deputy Director.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrades Nguyen Dac Vinh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the establishment of the Department of Tourism is of paramount importance, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province and the successful implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

To ensure the Department of Tourism operates effectively, provincial leaders have requested that units focus on consolidating and building the leadership structure, recruiting suitable personnel; establishing working regulations, investing in infrastructure, and successfully fulfilling their assigned functions and tasks.

The leaders believe that the newly established unit is the starting point to create more favorable conditions for the province in continuing to attract and promote the image of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland to friends at home and abroad; creating a foundation to attract investors and tourists to the province.
