The Ministry of Education and Training has released detailed guidelines for examination boards, including specific timetable regulations for each session of the 2017 National High School Graduation Examination, which will take place from June 21-24.

According to Mr. Tran Van Nghia, Deputy Director of the Department of Examination and Quality Assurance (Ministry of Education and Training), the document regarding the timetable for each exam session is only a guideline; the units in charge of the exam clusters have the right to adjust it as appropriate.

"Only the time for distributing exam papers, the time allotted for each exam, and the time allotted for each component subject within the combined exams must strictly adhere to the regulations," Mr. Nghia stated.

Below is the schedule for each exam session as guided by the Ministry of Education and Training:

1. LITERATURE EXAM (MORNING OF JUNE 22nd)

- Receive the exam paper, scratch paper, and document bag from the examination room;

- Assign registration numbers to the candidates' desks;

- Call candidates into the examination room; compare and verify photos and examination cards.

7:00-7:25

- An invigilator goes to receive the exam papers at the examination site;

- An invigilator signs the exam paper and draft paper; distributes and instructs candidates to fill in the sections on the exam paper.

7:25-7:30

Candidates in the examination room are allowed to witness the sealing of the exam paper bag, verify that the subject matches the exam schedule, and a written confirmation is drawn up with the signatures of two candidates.

7:30-7:35

- Open the envelope containing the exam papers and distribute them to the candidates;

- Candidates are required to check the condition of the exam papers.

7:35

The test time has started.

7:50

Submit the remaining sealed exam papers to the person assigned by the Head of the Examination Center.

9:20

Remind the candidates that they have 15 minutes left to complete the exam.

9:35

Time's up. The invigilator collects the exam papers from the candidates; asks the candidates to sign the Exam Paper Collection Form (clearly stating the number of exam papers).

2. MATH EXAM (AFTERNOON OF JUNE 22nd)

- Assign registration numbers to the candidates' desks;

- Call candidates into the examination room; compare and verify photos and examination cards.

14:00-14:15

- One examiner signs in the designated box for examiners on the answer sheet and draft paper;

- Distribute and instruct candidates on how to fill in the sections on the multiple-choice answer sheet.

14:15-14:20

- Open the envelope containing the Physics (History) exam papers and distribute them to candidates in order from left to right, from top to bottom;

- Candidates are required to check the condition of the exam paper and write the exam code on the answer sheet.

The time for the Physics (History) exam has begun.

7:55

Submit the sealed surplus Physics (History) exam papers to the person assigned by the Head of the Examination Center.

8:15

Remind the candidates that they have 15 minutes left to complete the Physics (History) exam.
