Local trade unions in Nghe An proactively take care of the lives of workers.
Through practical welfare initiatives at the grassroots level, workers' trust in trade unions is increasingly strengthened, affirming the trade union's position as a solid "pillar" in each unit.
Through practical actions
From the beginning of July 2025 until now, amidst the restructuring of the administrative apparatus and trade union organization, grassroots trade unions in Nghe An have continued to demonstrate a proactive and flexible spirit, implementing many practical activities, focusing on caring for the lives of union members and workers.
One of the highlights in recent times has been the healthcare programs for workers. Last October, the Trade Union of Sunny Automotive Quang Hoc Vietnam Co., Ltd. (WHA Industrial Park) collaborated with the company to organize a periodic health check-up for all employees. This activity helps monitor and assess health, detect occupational diseases early, and raise awareness of self-care among workers. Although it has become an annual event, the program is expanded in both scale and quality each year.

In the spirit of "caring for even the smallest things," the Trade Union of Thang Nam Forestry Joint Stock Company (located in Nghia Dan commune) advised the company's Board of Directors to organize a "Workers' Health Day" - where workers received health check-ups, nutritional advice, participated in physical games, and received motivational gifts.
Mr. Nguyen The Mai, the company's General Director, shared: "Caring for and protecting the health of our employees is not only a responsibility but also an expression of gratitude from the leadership team for the contributions of our workers. Through the 'Health Day,' we hope that each worker will become more aware of self-care, maintain good mental and physical health, and remain committed to the company in the long term."
In addition to caring for the health of workers, many grassroots trade unions in FDI enterprises proactively allocate funds to support workers in difficult circumstances. At Kyungshin Nghe An Co., Ltd. (WHA Industrial Park), the trade union allocated funds to encourage workers affected by Typhoon No. 10. At the same time, the Luxshare Nghe An Trade Union awarded more than 300 scholarships to children of workers with good academic achievements, while also supporting union members facing difficulties in their daily lives.
The concern of the trade union organization also extends to the administrative and professional sectors. For example, the Dong Hieu Commune Trade Union surveyed the lives and work of laborers in the area, promptly grasping their thoughts and aspirations to propose solutions to higher authorities. At the same time, the commune trade union organized the "Helping Children Go to School" program, giving dozens of gifts to the children of union members, helping them to have more motivation to enter the new school year. The Yen Thanh Commune Trade Union coordinated with MLB Tenergy Co., Ltd. to hand over 3 "Trade Union Shelter" houses to union members with particularly difficult circumstances.

A recent development in grassroots trade union activities is proactiveness. Instead of waiting for support from higher levels, many grassroots trade unions have learned to leverage their internal resources, mobilizing businesses to participate in caring for workers, both materially and spiritually. This is a sustainable approach to ensure that trade unions truly become a pillar of support for workers.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor
Keep the spirit alive - Strengthen the bonds of unity and trust among members.
While material support helps workers feel secure in their jobs, spiritual activities help them love their profession more and feel more connected to the team. Many grassroots trade unions in Nghe An province have done a good job of "keeping the flame" of this spirit alive through cultural and sports movements, seminars, thematic activities, creating a united and positive working environment.
In early October, at Masan Nghe An Co., Ltd. (Nam Cam Industrial Park), the 2025 Teambuilding program with the theme "Passion to Win Big" became the most anticipated event of the year. Hundreds of employees participated in team games, cultural exchanges, and a gala night honoring outstanding individuals. "Programs like this help people get closer and understand each other better; the work atmosphere afterwards is also much more positive," shared Mr. Le Quoc Dat, a union member of the company.
Meanwhile, Nghe An European Plastic Co., Ltd. (also located in Nam Cam Industrial Park) chose a warmer approach: organizing an intimate celebration on Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th. Each gift and each wish was a token of appreciation for the female workers – a large part of the workforce in production.
At Luxshare ICT Nghe An Company (VSIP Industrial Park), the "Appreciation for Women" series of activities took place throughout October with many rich contents: giving cakes and gifts, organizing art and music competitions, and decorating the check-in area brightly. Ms. Do Thi Thuy Linh - a worker at the company said: "The atmosphere at the company is completely different from usual. Everyone feels happy, feels cared for and valued."

Not only in the business sector, but many grassroots trade unions in the administrative and public service sectors are also striving to enrich the working environment by building "office culture corners," maintaining reading clubs, sports clubs, or soft skills seminars. In Thanh Vinh ward, the trade union maintains a "Weekend Reading Hour" program and seminars on workplace communication skills, attracting a large number of union members.
According toNghe An Provincial Federation of LaborSince the beginning of July, hundreds of grassroots trade unions have organized cultural and sports activities, competitions, and "Workers' Day" events, attracting tens of thousands of union members. Many models such as "Union Member's Birthday," "Nutritious Meal Program," and "Workers' Family Day" are being replicated in many localities.
From simple activities – a team-building event, a cultural evening, or a group activity – the spirit of solidarity and sharing is spreading, making workers and employees proud to be members of the trade union. Comprehensive care, both material and spiritual, is the foundation for workers to confidently contribute, for businesses to develop sustainably, and for the trade union to grow stronger.
