Behind the 2026 celebration honoring exemplary worker families lies the enduring journey of the Trade Union in caring for the lives of workers' families.

A celebration of family bonds

“There are moments that are hard to come by again, and thanks to Facebook, we can preserve these beautiful moments so that our two princesses will have something to remember later,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung, a union member of Woosin Vina Co., Ltd., when posting family photos at the Family Recognition Conference.exemplary workerThe year 2026 was posted on social media. Below the radiant and happy photos were many congratulatory messages.

Ms. Nhung's family was one of 66 families recognized by the Provincial Labor Union at an event for their achievements in building prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized families. The conference was organized by the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union and directed by the Provincial Labor Culture House. Beyond honoring exemplary families, the conference also provided a space for union members, workers, and their children to meet, socialize, and create lasting memories.

At the event, attendees included not only parents working at various businesses and organizations but also children of all ages. Therefore, preparations were meticulously carried out. For families from distant locations, the Provincial Labor Union and the Provincial Labor Culture House arranged accommodation and meals the afternoon before. During the celebratory meal, the children had a suitable menu; in the hall, younger children were seated next to their parents for easy care, while older children were assigned appropriate areas to watch the program; and the gifts were carefully selected...

The festival space also included a photo booth and a screen displaying radiant images of each family. The "Talented Family" interactive playground, featuring artistic performances by the members and their children, became one of the highlights. There, family members had the opportunity to stand together on stage, share joy, and create lasting memories.

One of the most anticipated parts of the ceremony was the awarding of prizes for the "Happy Worker Family" poll on the Nghe An Trade Union Fanpage. The "Most Loved Family" award went to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa and Mr. Nguyen Canh Hung (Nghe An Water Supply Joint Stock Company) with nearly 3,000 likes and shares. The Organizing Committee also awarded prizes for "Inspirational Family" and "Outstanding Family in Raising Children" to families with outstanding circumstances and achievements, such as the family of Ms. Manh Thi An, a near-poor household that rose above poverty; the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong, a Party member who raised a child who excelled in school; and the families of Mr. Nguyen Van Hong and Mr. Thai Ba Hoa, who overcame difficulties to raise children who excelled in university and won Olympic medals.

The program left a lasting impression on the participants. Mr. Pham Van Tai, a worker at Luxshare-ICT Nghe An Co., Ltd., emotionally shared: “Honestly, when the company's trade union selected and introduced us to this program, my wife and I were a little hesitant, because we thought our family was just like any other worker's family in the company, without any special achievements. But today, being present at the conference, meeting and interacting with many other worker families, we feel very happy and proud. This is truly an invaluable experience for our family.”

Behind the peaceful homes

Behind the smiles at the awards ceremony lie the pressures that workers face every day. Assembly lines, shifts and overtime, along with the burden of income, living expenses, rent, childcare, and tuition fees, leave little time for family. These worries also necessitate greater attention to the family lives of workers.

Understanding these difficulties, the message emphasized at the 2026 Conference honoring 66 exemplary worker families was: "A happy family is not a family without difficulties, but a family that knows how to overcome difficulties together."

Ms. Phan Thi Trang, Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union, shared: “Over the years, the provincial labor unions at all levels in Nghe An have always recognized that caring for union members and workers is also caring for their families. Because behind every worker is a home, loved ones waiting, and children who need to be loved, cared for, and have the opportunity to study and grow up.”

From that perspective, many practical welfare programs have been implemented by trade unions at all levels. The "Trade Union Shelter" program supports union members facing housing difficulties; the "Collective Wedding Ceremony" program organizes weddings and provides wedding rings for worker couples who are unable to hold a wedding; the "Sharing Love - Helping Children Go to School" program awards thousands of scholarships, along with summer camps for children attracting nearly 700 children of workers... In the period 2022-2025, the "Godmother" program has sponsored 385 orphaned children of union members; the "Your Health" and "Breast Milk Expressing and Storage Room" models have been replicated in enterprises with a large number of female workers.

In 2026, the Trade Union will continue to implement activities that focus more on the practical needs of workers and their families. Specifically, it will provide model projects.livelihoodsFor disadvantaged families, they organized safe swimming lessons and summer camps for nearly 400 children of workers...

Sharing his plans for future support, Mr. Kha Van Tam, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union, affirmed: "The Nghe An Labor Union is determined not only to protect legitimate rights at the workplace, but also to become a companion in every aspect of daily life for each family." He also hoped that union members, workers, and their families would be more proactive and active in activities organized by the Labor Union, thereby creating more motivation for the Labor Union to continue innovating and providing more practical and effective support.

When the home is peaceful and secure, workers have a stronger foundation to work with peace of mind, remain committed to the company, and contribute to the overall development of society. And behind each of these homes, the support of the Trade Union is a way to keep the "flame" of family warmth burning for a long time.
