Nghe An Trade Union meets with grassroots trade union officials of the business sector

On the morning of October 18, the Provincial Labor Federation organizedmeet, training for grassroots trade union officials in the enterprise sector. Attending were representatives of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units, representatives of labor federations of districts and sectors, and 197 key trade union officials of enterprises with over 200 union members in the province.
Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and Standing members of the Provincial Labor Federation chaired the conference.
In recent times, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels, the coordination of all levels and sectors, the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in Nghe An province have achieved many comprehensive results. However, besides that, there are still many grassroots trade unions that are not commensurate with the expectations of union members, workers and the tasks set by the trade union organization in the current period. Starting the journey to implement the action program to implement the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Trade Union Congress, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of grassroots trade union activities, the Provincial Labor Federation has paid great attention to trade union activities in enterprises.
This is also the first time Nghe An Trade Union has organized a meeting with key union officials of grassroots unions with over 200 union members. The event is a good opportunity to share,grasp the situation, the thoughts and aspirations of the grassroots, is also an opportunity for union officials to make proposals and recommendations to the authorities, promptly resolving practical problems.
At the conference, grassroots union officials raised many questions and recommendations related to issues such as strengthening professional training for union officials, organization and operation of grassroots unions, financial work of grassroots unions, regimes, policies, emulation work, infrastructure of industrial parks, etc. Representatives of functional agencies and provincial Labor Federations frankly discussed and directly answered questions clearly and satisfactorily. Contents that are not under their authority will be collected and recommended to levels and sectors for consideration and resolution, and written responses will be sent to comrades.
The province currently has 2,882 grassroots trade unions, with 172,322 union members, of which 530 are non-state sector grassroots trade unions, with 84,102 union members (48%). Of the total 530 non-state sector grassroots trade unions, 20 have over 1,000 union members, 41 have over 500 union members, and 68 have over 200 union members.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Kha Van Tam acknowledged the success of the conference with many enthusiastic and thoughtful opinions, and at the same time, thanked the responsible contributions of the grassroots union cadres over the past time. The head of Nghe An Trade Union hoped that from this meeting, the relationship of sharing and connection between union levels would be further strengthened and tightened. Union cadres need to continue to be proud of their role, further promoting the function of protecting the legitimate rights and interests ofworker, building increasingly strong trade unions.
Also at this event, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 773 million VND.support for workers, workers whose working hours are reduced, whose labor contracts are terminated due to businesses cutting or reducing orders (phase 2) belong to units in Nghia Dan, Do Luong, Vinh City, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh...
In total, in 2 support rounds, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 1 billion 342.7 million VND (Batch 1: 569.7 million VND/527 people; Batch 2: 773 million VND/765 people) according to Decision 6696 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
After the meeting, delegates attended a training program with many important and practical contents.
