Nghe An Trade Union held a meeting with grassroots trade union officials in the business sector.
(Baonghean.vn) - Many important issues have been raised and proposed by trade union officials in the business sector to higher-level trade unions.
On the morning of October 18th, the Provincial Labor Union organized...meeting, training for grassroots trade union officials in the business sector. Attending were representatives from relevant departments, agencies and units, representatives from district and sectoral labor federations, and 197 key trade union officials from businesses with over 200 union members in the province.

Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, and other members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor presided over the conference.
Over the past period, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels and with the coordination of various levels and sectors, the workers' movement and trade union activities in Nghe An province have achieved many comprehensive results. However, alongside these achievements, many grassroots trade unions still fall short of the expectations of union members and workers, and the tasks set for the trade union organization in the current period. As a starting point for implementing the action program to carry out the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union, aiming to improve the quality and effectiveness of grassroots trade union activities, the Provincial Federation of Labor has given great attention to trade union activities in enterprises.

This was also the first time the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union organized a meeting of key trade union officials from grassroots trade unions with over 200 members. The event was a good opportunity to share,grasp the situationThis also provides an opportunity for trade union officials to express the thoughts and aspirations of the grassroots level, and to present proposals and recommendations to relevant authorities, thereby promptly resolving practical issues.
At the conference, grassroots trade union officials raised many questions and made suggestions related to issues such as strengthening professional training for trade union officials, the organization and operation of grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade union finances, regulations and policies, emulation work, and infrastructure in industrial zones. Representatives from relevant agencies and the provincial Federation of Labor's committees frankly discussed and directly answered the questions clearly and satisfactorily. Issues outside their jurisdiction will be compiled and submitted to higher levels and sectors for consideration and resolution, and written responses will be provided to the participants.

The province currently has 2,882 grassroots trade unions with 172,322 union members, of which 530 are in the non-state sector, with 84,102 union members (48%). Among the 530 non-state sector grassroots trade unions, 20 have over 1,000 members, 41 have over 500 members, and 68 have over 200 members.
Concluding the meeting, Comrade Kha Van Tam acknowledged the success of the conference with many heartfelt and thoughtful opinions, and thanked the grassroots trade union officials for their responsible contributions over the past period. The head of the Nghe An Trade Union hoped that from this meeting, the relationship of sharing and connection between trade union levels would be further strengthened and tightened. Trade union officials should continue to be proud of their role and further develop their function of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.workers, building an increasingly strong trade union organization.

Also at this event, the Provincial Labor Union presented 773 million VND.support for workersWorkers whose working hours were reduced or whose employment contracts were terminated due to businesses cutting or reducing orders (second wave) in Nghia Dan, Do Luong, Vinh City, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh districts, etc.
In total, across two phases of support, the Provincial Labor Union has distributed 1,342.7 million VND (Phase 1: 569.7 million VND/527 people; Phase 2: 773 million VND/765 people) in accordance with Decision 6696 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Following the meeting, the delegates attended a training program with many important and practical contents.
