Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union deploys tasks for 2024
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 20, Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union held a conference to summarize activities in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024.
Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Hoang Van Nhien - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, representatives of the Provincial Agencies Bloc Youth Union, the Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, and leaders of 49 grassroots trade unions.

All assigned targets for 2023 were achieved and exceeded.
Nghe An Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union directly manages 49 grassroots trade unions, an increase of 1 unit compared to 2022, with a total of 4,764 union members, a decrease of 52 people compared to the end of 2022; female union members are 2,334 people, accounting for 49.8% of the total union members. The life of union members is stable; average income is 7.8 million VND/person/month.

The ideology of cadres, union members and workers is stable, they feel secure in their work; internal solidarity is good, they trust the leadership of the Party; management and operation of all levels of government; good implementation of discipline and administrative discipline; promoting the application of information technology in handling work and reforming administrative procedures.
In 2023, the Civil Servants' Trade Union focused on urging grassroots trade unions to review and complete the assigned tasks fully and on time. The targets assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor in 2023 were all met and exceeded. During the year, 15 new union members were developed, reaching 150%; 88 outstanding union members were introduced to the Party for consideration; of which, 71 union members were admitted to the Party, reaching 197% of the assigned target.

In particular, it directed the organization of model congresses at 3 units of 3 types of activities to gain experience in organizing mass congresses. 38/49 units completed the organization of congresses before March 31, 2023, ensuring the requirements of the proposed schedule. The organization of grassroots trade union congresses took place in accordance with the process, democracy, objectivity, ensuring the principles and regulations of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The Civil Servants' Trade Union organized the 5th Congress, term 2023 - 2028, following the motto of thrift, innovation, and practicality. After the congress, the Civil Servants' Trade Union held a conference to disseminate and deploy the action program to implement the resolution; issued working regulations and the entire term work program of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, Inspection Committee, and Mass Women's Union. The congresses of the grassroots Trade Union and the Civil Servants' Trade Union both ensured progress according to the plan set forth by the Provincial Federation of Labor.
The Civil Servants' Union subsidized 67 union members who had made efforts to overcome difficulties on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Quy Mao 2023, with a total amount of more than 53 million VND; presented 60 gifts worth 42 million VND to union members who were sick or had serious illnesses. Organized the program "Stepping to School with You" in 2023, presenting 130 gifts worth 74 million VND to 50 children of union members in difficult circumstances and 80 orphans adopted by grassroots unions. Coordinated with Medlatec Center to organize free examinations and screening for breast and thyroid cancer for 647 female union members of 24 grassroots unions.

Coordinated with the Youth Union and Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies to organize a ceremony to honor 92 children of Youth Union members with excellent academic achievements in the 2022-2023 school year.
The grassroots trade union spent more than 1.4 billion VND to visit sick people and give gifts to union members on the occasion of Lunar New Year and Workers' Month; more than 483 million VND to organize sightseeing and tourism activities for union members; more than 1.6 billion VND for cultural and sports activities at agencies and units... In terms of expertise, the trade union coordinated to organize health check-ups for 1,868 union members; mobilized union members to contribute more than 233 million VND to support union members in agencies and units.
Coordinate with the Veterans Association of the Bloc and the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies to organize a Volleyball tournament to welcome the 5th Congress of Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union, term 2023-2028.
The Civil Servants' Union continues to use the Zalo group and the Civil Servants' Union Fanpage in the work of disseminating information and orientation. With relatively favorable working conditions, grassroots unions all use social networks Zalo and Facebook to organize communication activities.

The emulation movements "Excellent Labor, Creative Labor"; "Good at public work, good at home work"; the emulation movement "Study to improve qualifications" continue to be strongly responded to by grassroots trade unions. The emulation movement contributes to promoting the improvement of capacity and qualifications of cadres, civil servants and public employees, contributing to the completion of political tasks of agencies and units. In 2022, agencies and units recognized 512 topics and initiatives.
The movement "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture" associated with building agencies and units that meet cultural standards has received attention. In 2023, 4 units proposed the Provincial Federation of Labor to recognize units that met cultural standards for the first time.
The grassroots trade union enthusiastically organized activities to celebrate International Women's Day (March 8) and Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20) among female cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, contributing to creating an exciting and united atmosphere.
The “Godmother” program for orphans and homeless children has been supported by grassroots unions. To date, 12 grassroots unions have sponsored 80 children.
The Civil Servants' Union organized the Folk Dance Competition for the first time, attracting 27 grassroots unions to participate. The participating units practiced meticulously, performed professionally, creatively, and attracted viewers.
Social activities focus on mobilizing union members to contribute to the Tet For the Poor fund; supporting people in difficult circumstances... The summary report shows that in 2023, union members contributed 496.8 million VND to the province's For the Poor fund; 337.8 million VND to support people affected by natural disasters; 2.2 billion VND to build houses for the poor, people in difficult housing circumstances and 281.4 million VND for other support.
Union officials must be innovative and creative.
6 presentations at the conference highlighted many experiences in trade union activities at the grassroots level as well as shared difficulties in current trade union activities.
The conference also agreed on key activities in 2024 - the year to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Agencies Party Committee; deploy the action program to implement the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Civil Servants' Trade Union, the 19th Congress of Nghe An Trade Union; the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Hoang Van Nhien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc emphasized that grassroots trade unions need to pay attention to emulation movements such as "Good worker, Creative worker", "Good at public work, good at housework"; union members need to set an example in implementing the commitment to no corruption, no negativity.
He also hopes that union members will digitize their activities and take the lead in digital transformation. The Civil Servants' Union should launch emulation movements associated with key holidays; associated with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee of the Civil Servants' Bloc. He emphasized that the solution is that union officials must be innovative and creative.


At the conference, 3 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers and activities in 2023 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation; 14 collectives and 152 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of good laborers and trade union activities in 2023 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Civil Servants' Union; 18 collectives with many civil servants and public employees participating in the online contest "Learning about the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Trade Union Congress" were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Civil Servants' Union.
