The Nghe An community in South Korea 'Reaches out to the beloved Central Vietnam'

(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, in Namji province, South Korea, the Nghe An community organized a charity football tournament with the theme "Towards our beloved Central Vietnam" with the aim of raising funds to help people in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces after the floods in October 2016.

The program was jointly organized by representatives of the Nghe An labor community in South Korea and the HaiAu music band, with the participation of 8 teams comprising 200 athletes from provinces in South Korea such as Gyongju, Hwason, Chirwon, Gimhae, etc.

The tournament was divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. At the end of the tournament, the Gyong Ju team emerged as champions.

The matches were intense and captivating for the viewers.

Alongside the football tournament, there were also cultural performances, comedy shows, and fashion shows presented by the participating teams. The program attracted a large number of Vietnamese people living, working, and studying in South Korea.

Everyone is joining hands to donate and support our compatriots in Central Vietnam.

Besides the purpose of calling for charitable donations to support people in Central Vietnam affected by floods, the program also serves as an opportunity to foster interaction and solidarity among workers and students from Nghe An living, studying, and working in South Korea, and to promote the movement of practicing sports and physical exercise.

At the event, audience members received lucky tickets and participated in a raffle to win a shirt signed by coach Huu Thang and all the players of the Vietnamese national team.

At the end of the program, the amount of money raised was 50 million. In the coming time, the association will send representatives back to the country to directly deliver the donations to the people who suffered heavy losses in the floods.

Previously, under the theme "Towards our compatriots in Central Vietnam," the Vietnamese labor community in South Korea also organized a fundraising campaign in Busan, raising nearly 100 million VND.
