Propaganda work must always be "one step ahead".

On the afternoon of January 19th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a conference to summarize propaganda work in 2017 and implement tasks for 2018. Acknowledging and appreciating the role of the Propaganda Department in all areas over the past year, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son affirmed that the department has proactively advised the Party Committee on leadership and direction in handling "hot spots" in the province, as well as creating a vibrant atmosphere of emulation to carry out the province's political tasks and complete socio-economic targets.

In 2018, a year with many challenges, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Propaganda Department to continue implementing the motto "one step ahead" in order to do a good job on the ideological front.

"To achieve this, each propaganda department at all levels and each propaganda official needs to strongly innovate their way of thinking and working, creating persuasive power and affirming the pioneering role of the Propaganda Department," Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized.

Highlighting several key tasks, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the Propaganda Department should build a strong team of propaganda officials, strengthen the exchange of experiences and mutual learning, as well as innovate the form, content, and quality of training.

"No one can change us except ourselves. We must train ourselves within the 'propaganda corps,' pondering and acting more intensely and decisively. Only then can we demonstrate the sharpness of the propaganda system," Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son shared.

On the other hand, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also suggested that propaganda work should become a top priority and a central task of the entire political system. Therefore, the Propaganda Departments at all levels need to create new, more positive changes and spread the message so that every cadre and Party member participates in propaganda work.

Following the directives of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and outlining the tasks for 2018, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Ho Phuc Hop, emphasized that the Propaganda sector needs to continue to innovate to adapt to the new situation.

Accordingly, each propaganda official needs to be quick-witted, proactive, self-aware, and innovative in thinking and approach, anticipating and shaping political ideology and public opinion to bring the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws into practice.

In addition, each propaganda official needs to improve their ability to forecast and provide information in a sensitive, accurate, timely, effective, and practical manner, serving as a basis for leading and directing the Party's ideological work in the new situation.

"Every official in the Propaganda Department is a vanguard soldier on the ideological front, putting the Party and State's guidelines and policies into practice, commending exemplary individuals and models, and participating in the fierce struggle against false manifestations and misinformation," said Ho Phuc Hop, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

"We are in the era of Industry 4.0, which poses new challenges for the Propaganda Department, requiring each propaganda official to be creative in selecting and conveying information to each official, Party member, and citizen," the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department emphasized.

On this occasion, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the People's Committee of Nghe An province for having excellently and comprehensively fulfilled its nhiệm vụ, leading the patriotic emulation movement in the province.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department awarded certificates of commendation to 16 subordinate Propaganda Departments for their outstanding achievements in propaganda work in 2017 and to 11 political training centers for their outstanding achievements in political theory education in 2017.
