What does the Vinh City Greenery Company say after the violations?

(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Director of Vinh City Green Parks Company, admitted that the unit had been negligent in not strictly supervising the garbage collection and disposal process of its employees.

According to city regulations, waste collected by the Vinh City Green Parks Company will be processed at two locations: the Dong Vinh landfill (Hung Dong commune, Vinh City) and Nghi Yen (Hamlet 4, Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district).

However, on August 9th, the police in Hung Loi commune (Hung Nguyen district) discovered and dealt with the clandestine and illegal discharge of wastewater by employees of this company within the commune.

Following the incident, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy Director of Vinh City Green Parks Company, admitted that the unit had been negligent in not strictly supervising the garbage collection and disposal process of its employees, leading to the violation.

“The company acknowledges that the recent dumping of garbage by its employees in Hung Loi commune was wrong. After receiving notification from the police, the company conducted a review of the individuals involved. Upon investigation, it was found that the employees were asked by some residents to transport fallen tree branches in Hung Loi commune for firewood, and they ‘casually’ agreed… Currently, to remedy the situation, the company is deploying personnel to collect the waste there,” Ms. Thuy said.

Regarding disciplinary action against those who violated the rules, Ms. Thuy stated that the matter would be handled internally, with penalties including salary reductions and reduced bonuses for the month of August.

When asked whether employees of the Parks and Greenery Company were burning trees, causing pollution that affected residents in the area, Ms. Thuy denied it.

However, the Hung Loi commune police reported that company employees were indeed burning trash. They even stated that this had happened many times, affecting the lives of residents due to the large amount of smoke and dust entering the residential area. The situation had been ongoing for a long time, forcing residents to report it to the authorities and seek intervention.

Mr. Pham Van Kien, Head of Hung Loi Commune Police, stated: "Regarding the violations committed by the employees of Vinh City Green Park Company, the commune police will proceed with administrative sanctions, possibly with a maximum fine of 2 million VND. However, the amount of the fine will depend on how well the company rectifies the consequences of the violation."
