Phu Quy Nghe An Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company was fined 355 million VND.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Hong Vinh, has just signed a decision imposing administrative penalties on Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company for violations related to mineral exploitation activities.
This company is headquartered in Quy Hop town, Quy Hop district.
Decision No. 162/QD-XPHC dated October 15th clearly states that Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company committed four administrative violations:
Firstly, Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company encroached on agricultural land, specifically production forest land in a rural area, with a total encroached area of 1.8 hectares (specifically, the company used 1.8 hectares of production forest land in Thung Con area, Lien Hop commune, Quy Hop district to build a waste dump and temporary shelters without being granted a land lease by the State authorities; the violation occurred from 2020 until the date of inspection).
For the aforementioned violations, the company was fined 210 million VND. Regarding remedial measures, it was required to carry out land allocation and lease procedures according to regulations; and simultaneously, it was required to return the illegal profits obtained from the violation, amounting to 72 million VND.

The second violation is that Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company failed to submit reports to the competent authority that granted the mining license if it temporarily suspended mining for one year or more (the company has stopped mining since May 2022 but has not submitted reports to the competent authority as required). For this violation, Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company was fined 8 million VND.
For the third offense, "Preparing statistical reports and inventories of remaining mineral reserves in the permitted mining area without complete information according to the form prescribed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment," Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company was fined 15 million VND.
For the fourth offense, "Failure to maintain complete books, documents, and related records to determine the actual annual mining output," Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company was fined 50 million VND.
Therefore, the total amount of fines and illegal profits that Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company must pay to the Nghe An provincial budget is 355 million VND.
