(Baonghean.vn) - Song Con - Tan Ky Sugar Cane Joint Stock Company has entered the 2015-2016 production season. This year's sugar cane purchase price is 860,000 VND/ton, an increase of 60,000 VND compared to last year.

This year, the sugarcane growing area of ​​Song Con - Tan Ky Sugarcane Joint Stock Company reached 5,500 hectares of standing sugarcane, a decrease of 200 hectares compared to last year, due to drought causing many sugarcane fields to die. The average sugarcane yield is estimated at nearly 50 tons/ha (last year the average sugarcane yield was 45 tons/ha).

Sugarcane is transported to the factory, where samples are taken to measure its sugar content.

All stages of measuring sugarcane sugar content are programmed using computer software.

To date, after one week of sugarcane crushing, the company has purchased nearly 30,000 tons of raw sugarcane from farmers. The factory's current crushing capacity is 3,300 tons of sugarcane per day.
