In recent years, due to the impact of climate change, rising production costs, and competition from other crops, sugarcane production in many localities has faced numerous difficulties.
In this context, Song Con Sugar Corporation has always clearly defined its corporate responsibility not only to organize production and processing but also to accompany and share with farmers – the direct partners who create the raw material supply area.
In that spirit, right from the beginning of the season, the company has developed and issued specific support mechanisms and policies, focusing on core issues for sugarcane growers such as: stable purchase prices, investment capital support, encouragement to improve the quality of sugarcane raw materials, and promoting sustainable agricultural production. Proactively announcing policies early helps people feel secure in their production, avoiding the waiting and anxiety experienced in previous years.
One of the most important aspects of Song Con Sugar Corporation's raw material support policy is the purchase price of sugarcane. With the aim of ensuring a balance of interests between the company and sugarcane growers, the company determines the price of sugarcane based on a comprehensive calculation of production costs, transportation, and processing efficiency.
Accordingly, for the 2025-2026 crop year, the company has provisionally set the price of raw sugarcane at 1,100,000 VND/ton. Within this price, the cost of transporting sugarcane from the field to the factory is provisionally estimated at 100,000 VND/ton, corresponding to a sugarcane price of 1,000,000 VND/ton at the field.
Announcing sugarcane prices at the beginning of the season clearly demonstrates the transparency and responsibility of the enterprise, while also helping sugarcane growers proactively calculate investment costs, choose varieties, and apply appropriate intensive farming methods. This is also an important basis for the company to proactively plan procurement, organize stable production, and ensure progress and efficiency throughout the season.
In addition to its pricing policy, Song Con Sugar Corporation continues to implement a 0% interest loan policy to support sugarcane farmers with additional resources for production investment. This is considered a practical and timely solution, especially in the context of rising prices of agricultural supplies, fertilizers, and labor.
According to this policy, the maximum loan limit is 20 million VND/hectare of standing sugarcane, as of June 30, 2025. The maximum repayment period is 12 months from the date of disbursement, but no later than June 30, 2026. Flexible repayment options include sugarcane products from the 2025-2026 crushing season, helping farmers reduce the pressure of cash repayments and allowing them to focus on caring for and improving sugarcane yields.
The company is implementing a 0% interest loan policy for households that have signed contracts to grow sugarcane, focusing on newly planted sugarcane areas and households with collateral as required. This is the first year the company has implemented this policy, aiming to support sugarcane growers by reducing the pressure of initial investment capital, allowing them to confidently expand their planted area, intensify cultivation to improve sugarcane yield and quality, and strengthen the long-term relationship and cooperation between the company and sugarcane growers.

However, along with investment support policies, the company clearly stipulates handling measures to ensure the seriousness and effectiveness of these support policies. Not only focusing on immediate economic efficiency, Song Con Sugar Corporation also emphasizes solutions towards sustainable agricultural production. One of the highlights is the policy of rewarding sugarcane sludge treated for sugarcane farmers who bring their sugarcane to the factory.
Accordingly, for every ton of raw sugarcane imported, farmers receive 500 kg of processed sugarcane sludge. Sugarcane farmers bear the costs of loading and transporting the sludge from the fertilizer plant's yard. Sugarcane sludge is a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer that improves soil quality, increases fertility, and contributes to gradually reducing the use of chemical fertilizers.
This policy not only helps sugarcane farmers save on production costs but also clearly demonstrates the company's commitment to developing a circular, environmentally friendly agricultural model that it is gradually implementing.
Improving the quality of sugarcane raw materials from the harvesting stage.
Alongside supporting input costs, Song Con Sugar Corporation pays special attention to improving the quality of sugarcane raw materials. To reduce the percentage of impurities, minimize losses, and improve processing efficiency, the company implements a reward policy for sugarcane trucks with low impurity levels.
According to regulations, the 20% of sugarcane delivered to the factory each day with the lowest impurity content will be considered for a bonus.The conditions for the bonus include: sugarcane not being handled by a grabber to collect and load loose sugarcane onto the truck; the percentage of leaves and impurities being 3% or less; the sugarcane not being flooded, burnt, or having blackened roots and withered tops; and the sugar content being 9.0 CCS or higher. The average bonus is 100,000 VND/ton.
Through this policy, the company encourages sugarcane growers to pay more attention to harvesting and transportation, gradually forming professional production habits and increasing the value of raw sugarcane.
