Hoa Son Company strives to export 30,000 tons of cassava starch.

(Baonghean) - The Cassava Starch Processing Factory Project invested by Hoa Son Agricultural Products Processing Company Limited is considered a key project approved by the Provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, the factory campus has an area of ​​over 22 hectares in Hamlet 12, Hoa Son Commune (Anh Son District). The raw material area of ​​the factory was approved by the province to be planned in 42 communes in 4 districts of Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Quy Chau with a scale of 3,350 hectares of cassava. The total investment of the project is over 700 billion VND, of which over 200 billion VND is invested in building the processing factory.

According to the plan, the first phase of the factory has a capacity of 150 tons of cassava starch/day, equivalent to 570 tons of fresh cassava/day. The second phase is expected to increase the factory capacity to 300 tons of starch/day. In November 2015, the factory officially operated and went into production, producing the first products including cassava flour, cassava pulp and other products meeting export standards. After more than 1 year of operation, in September 2016, the factory officially entered the mass production stage.

To improve production efficiency, the company's leaders invested over 100 billion VND in applying a modern wastewater treatment line and production environment imported from Europe, with a capacity of 2,400 m3/day/night, the system helps recover biogas from production water and domestic water. This complete system includes machinery, a closed, automatic line, a natural water reserve reservoir, a biogas tank, a physical and chemical partition, a settling tank to help treat wastewater to standard A, an activated carbon filter system, a chemical mixing tank, and an aeration tank system. Thanks to this closed system, 30% of wastewater will be recycled for the factory, the remaining 70% will be used to irrigate crops...

Currently, the wastewater and environmental treatment equipment chain system is basically completed, some items are on track to be completed according to standard requirements. In the 2016 production season, the factory's fresh cassava output reached 110,000 tons, starch products reached 30,000 tons exported to Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea; revenue reached over 200 billion VND, contributing 15 billion VND to the state budget.

Building on that success, in 2017, the factory strives to purchase and produce 140,000 tons of fresh cassava, produce 35,000 tons of starch, with a revenue of 300 billion VND, creating jobs for hundreds of workers in the district and neighboring areas with an average income of 5.5 million VND/person/month.
