Nghe An Sugar Company (NASU) begins the 2024-2025 crushing season.
On the morning of December 6th, Nghe An Sugar Company (NASU) held the opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 crushing season.

The 2024-2025 sugar cane crushing season of Nghe An Sugar Company (NASU) will begin on December 6, 2024 and end on April 25, 2025. The company will purchase all sugar cane produced by farmers directly from the fields as per the contracts signed at the beginning of the season. The purchase price at the field at the beginning of the season is 1,200,000 VND/ton (excluding the bonus for high sugar content; this price will be paid immediately by the company at 1,170,000 VND/ton for sugar cane harvested at the beginning and end of the season), and 1,150,000 VND/ton in the middle of the season.
If farmers fulfill their contracts and sell all their sugarcane to NASU, the company will reward them with an additional 50,000 VND/ton for increased sugarcane prices (paid once immediately after the end of the 2024-2025 crushing season).

NASU is very concerned about the interests of sugarcane farmers, having policies to support them with interest-free or low-interest loans, technical support throughout the growing season, support for building internal roads in sugarcane growing areas, support for reducing impurities in machine-harvested sugarcane, and increasing the purchase price of sugarcane with a sugar content greater than 0.5 CCS compared to the average sugar content of the past 5 days, at 60,000 VND per CCS.
This year, the entire Quy Hop district planted 6,415 hectares of sugarcane. This includes 904 hectares of new planting and 552 hectares of replanting. The focus is on intensive cultivation to increase productivity, striving to achieve an average yield of over 67 tons/ha to reach a total sugarcane production of over 430,000 tons for the entire district.
