Cong Vinh has matched the goalscoring record of Neymar and Van Persie.

The winning goal in the 2-1 victory against Myanmar helped the Vietnamese captain move level with two world superstars in the top list of active national team goalscorers.

Before their opening match in Group B of the 2016 AFF Cup on November 20th, Le Cong Vinh had scored 49 goals for the Vietnamese national team, ranking ninth among the top 10 goalscorers.Top goalscorer while still playing at the national team level.

And with his goal against Myanmar, the 31-year-old striker reached the milestone of 50 goals at the national team level. This achievement puts him level with Robin Van Persie (Netherlands) and Neymar (Brazil), two prolific strikers still playing who also have 50 goals.
