Cong Vinh helps fan Nguyen Ba Ky's child get medical treatment

Former national player Le Cong Vinh donated 10 million VND to help the daughter of "special" fan Nguyen Ba Ky (Song Lam Nghe An) with medical treatment.

Despite being paralyzed from the waist down after contracting polyarthritis at the age of 11, Ba Ky still loves football. Most recently, on March 9, he took a bus nearly 1,500 km from Nghe An to Ho Chi Minh City to go to an away game for the first time to cheer for his team in the match against Saigon FC in round 9 of V-League 2017 at Thong Nhat Stadium.

On March 24, Ba Ky's first daughter got sick and had to be hospitalized and has not recovered yet. This made him "complain" on Facebook: "Why is life so unfair to me??? I have been sick and bedridden for 17 years now. Why do you still make my child sick? Let me take all the sickness for my child, don't make her suffer from so many illnesses. I love my child so much."

Knowing the story, Cong Vinh called Ba Ky to inquire and support 10 million VND.

Ba Ky could not hide his joy at Cong Vinh's help. He said: "My child has three diseases at the same time: bacterial leukemia, otitis media, and acute pharyngitis, so he has a constant fever. I cannot always be at the hospital to visit and take care of him, so I am very worried. The family's finances are also difficult when my child is sick, so I am very grateful for Cong Vinh's help."
