Cong Vinh helps the child of football fan Nguyen Ba Ky get medical treatment.

Former national team player Le Cong Vinh donated 10 million VND to help the daughter of "special" fan Nguyen Ba Ky (Song Lam Nghe An) with her medical treatment.

Despite being paralyzed after contracting polyarthritis at the age of 11, Ba Ky remains passionate about football. Most recently, on March 9th, he traveled nearly 1,500 km by bus from Nghe An to Ho Chi Minh City to attend his first away match to cheer on his team in the game against Saigon FC in Round 9 of the 2017 V-League at Thong Nhat Stadium.

On March 24th, Ba Ky's eldest daughter fell ill and was hospitalized, and she is still not recovered. This prompted him to lament on Facebook: "Why is life so unfair to me??? I've been bedridden for 17 years already. Why does my child have to suffer from illness too? Let me bear all the illnesses for my child, don't make her suffer so much. I feel so sorry for my child."

Upon hearing about the situation, Cong Vinh called Ba Ky to inquire about his well-being and offered him 10 million VND in support.

Ba Ky couldn't hide his joy at Cong Vinh's help. He said, "My child had three illnesses at once: leukemia, middle ear infection, and acute pharyngitis, so he had a constant fever. I couldn't always be at the hospital to visit and take care of him, so I was very worried. Our family's finances were also difficult when my child was sick, so I am very grateful for Cong Vinh's help."
