(Baonghean.vn) - Copa America is the oldest football tournament in the world. Although the 2015 Copa America was just held in Chile, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has decided to organize the 2016 Copa America, breaking the rule of holding it every four years. This also marks the first time the Copa America has been held.It takes place outside of South American territory because this tournament marks the 100th anniversary of the first tournament (1916) and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).

| Argentina is a strong contender for the Copa America 2016 title. |
The 2016 Copa America was divided into four groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Group A included the United States, Colombia, Paraguay, and Costa Rica. Group B included Brazil, Ecuador, Haiti, and Peru. Group C included Mexico, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Jamaica. Group D included Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and Panama. Despite being a title contender, the absence of Neymar from the 2016 Copa America will undoubtedly make it difficult for Brazil to compete for the championship against Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Colombia. Meanwhile, coach Martino excluded Tevez and Dybala from the squad because Argentina now boasts more talented strikers such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, and Gonzalo Higuain. Saigon FC striker Jean-Eudes Maurice was recently officially included in Haiti's 23-player squad for the 2016 Copa America.
