Costa joins Juventus

Juventus FC announced that they have successfully signed midfielder Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich.

Douglas Costa, 26, joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2015 from Shakhtar Donetsk for 30 million euros. After a fairly successful first season (43 games/7 goals), last season, Costa suffered many injuries and has now lost his official position in coach Carlo Ancelotti's squad.

According to Reuters, Bayern Munich has agreed to loan Costa to Juventus for 1 year for 6 million euros, with an option to buy for 40 million euros in the summer of 2018. Costa passed a medical on July 12 and will wear the number 11 shirt at Juventus.
