A utility pole was engulfed in flames in the night in Vinh City.
Residents panicked when a power pole caught fire and exploded during the night.
At approximately 9:30 PM on February 4th, an electrical pole located on Ho Sy Duong Street (Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City) suddenly burst into flames and emitted several explosions.
According to several witnesses, while many families were watching television, they suddenly heard an explosion. When they ran out to see what happened, they saw the power pole engulfed in flames.
The scene revealed that the top of the utility pole, where several electricity meters were installed, had caught fire and exploded. A white car belonging to a local resident was parked nearby and was hit by sparks. Fearing electric shock and the potential explosion, residents did not dare extinguish the fire and instead called the authorities.
