Countdown 2026 in Lang Son: Welcoming the New Year at the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival

Lang Son province will organize a New Year's Eve countdown event combined with a fireworks display on the night of December 31, 2025, kicking off a series of cultural and tourism activities at the beginning of the year within the framework of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival. This information was confirmed by Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, in an interview with the press.

According to the plan issued by the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the 2026 Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival will take place from January 1st to March 16th, 2026, throughout the province. This is a key cultural and tourism event at the beginning of the year, continuing the efforts to preserve the value of Lang Son peach blossoms and promote the image of this border region rich in cultural identity to domestic and international tourists.

As part of the festival, Countdown 2026 in Lang Son is organized as the opening event, combining the New Year's atmosphere with traditional spring colors. The countdown program on the night of December 31, 2025, along with an artistic fireworks display, promises to create a dazzling highlight, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.

The 2026 Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival, themed "The Beauty of Lang Son Peach Blossoms – Connecting All Directions," harmoniously blends traditional cultural elements with a modern flair. Activities focus on celebrating the beauty of peach blossoms while promoting the natural beauty, people, and tourism potential of Lang Son.

According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2026 will take place at 8 PM on February 7, 2026, on Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward. Before and after the opening ceremony, many attractive activities will be organized throughout, such as decorating the Spring Flower Street and check-in area at Chi Lang Park, welcoming the first international tourist group of 2026 at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, along with competitions, exhibitions, and unique sports and cultural events.

From February to March 2026, nearly 20 major events will simultaneously take place in Lang Son city and other localities in the province, including the Lantern Festival poetry day, international art exchanges, Then, Sli, and Luon singing performances, Chau Van performances, lion and dragon dance festivals, raft racing on the Ky Cung River, Lang Son culinary festival, and many other traditional festivals.
