Countdown 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City: A series of exciting events to welcome the new year.
The Countdown 2026 event in Ho Chi Minh City took place at many central locations, featuring famous artists and creating a vibrant atmosphere.
Ho Chi Minh City will host a series of events to celebrate the New Year 2026, lasting from December 27, 2025 to January 1, 2026, including a countdown, fireworks display, and many large-scale cultural, artistic, and sporting programs, serving residents and tourists during the New Year holiday.
The highlight of the series of activities is the Countdown 2026 event in Ho Chi Minh City, taking place on the evening of December 31, 2025, held on Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and expanding to Le Loi Street, Lam Son Park, and the area around the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, creating a vibrant outdoor festival space in the city center.
Alongside the countdown, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a fireworks display to welcome the new year 2026, funded through social contributions. High-altitude fireworks displays will be held at the Saigon River Tunnel entrance (An Khanh ward), the New City Center (Binh Duong ward), and Tam Thang Square (Vung Tau ward); low-altitude displays will take place at Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward), offering residents in various areas multiple viewing options.
As part of the series of events, numerous cultural and artistic activities were organized continuously. The "Awakening the Dawn Waves 2025" program included a run and mass yoga performance on the morning of December 31st, along with an art performance that evening at Tam Thang Tower Square (Vung Tau ward).
The Food Festival will take place from December 27, 2025 to January 1, 2026 at Bai Sau Beach, while outdoor art programs will be held at the park in front of the former Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center, the Youth Cultural Center, universities, dormitories, and industrial zones throughout the holiday.
Notably, the Countdown Tiger Remix 2026 event will take place on Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and is expected to be one of the most spectacular music festivals on New Year's Eve. The program will feature a lineup of famous artists such as SOOBIN, Toc Tien, Hoang Thuy Linh, Quang Hung MasterD, Phuong My Chi, Kay Tran, Pham Anh Khoa, People's Artist Huu Quoc, along with DJ Soda and many other guest DJs and artists, creating an explosive musical atmosphere to welcome the new year.
Besides the central area, Countdown 2026 at The Global City (formerly District 2, Thu Duc City) is also a major highlight with a lineup of announced artists including Noo Phuoc Thinh, JustaTee, My My, and prominent DJs. The program runs from 3 PM until late at night, combining artistic performances and fireworks displays, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.
