(Baonghean.vn) - May 18,Traffic Control Patrol Team 1-48 (under Nghe An Traffic Police Department) said that the unit has just returned a motorbike to a resident in Binh Dinh province that was stolen 2 years ago.

Previously on April 8, at KM 28 on National Highway 48, the working group of Traffic Control Patrol Team 1.48 discovered a young man driving an Exciter motorbike with license plate number 37L1-036.27 with suspicious signs, so they asked to stop the vehicle for inspection.

At the time of inspection, the motorcyclist, Nguyen Duc Hung (born in 1983, residing in Hamlet 3, Quynh Thang Commune (Quynh Luu), could not present a driver's license, did not have a vehicle registration certificate, and did not have a certificate of civil liability insurance of the vehicle owner. With the above violations, the working group drew up a record of administrative violations and temporarily detained the vehicle according to regulations.

However, after 1 month since the vehicle was impounded, the violator still did not come to the agency to handle the case. Suspecting that the vehicle used a fake license plate, the authorities checked the vehicle and found out that the owner of the vehicle was Nguyen Dinh Thao (born in 1988, residing in Hamlet 13, Quynh Xuan Commune, Quynh Luu).

However, when checking the actual vehicle and license plate, the team determined that the license plate did not match the engine and chassis numbers of the vehicle being detained. After rubbing the engine and chassis numbers and checking the vehicle owner's information, the police found out that the above vehicle had the license plate number 77N4-7799, owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan (born in 1966, residing in An Nho Town, Binh Dinh Province).

After identifying the vehicle owner, Traffic Control Patrol Team 1-48 contacted Binh Dinh Police and learned that the vehicle they were holding was stolen in 2014.

On May 17, the team completed the procedures and handed over the vehicle to the owner. Receiving the vehicle from the authorities, the representative of the people was moved and expressed his gratitude to the Nghe An Traffic Police for finding the vehicle after 2 years of theft.
