Voters suggest that there should be harsher penalties for corruption.

After hearing a brief report from National Assembly representatives on the agenda of the 8th session of the 14th National Assembly, voters raised several issues, including: the need to consider allowances for militia and self-defense forces at the grassroots level in the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces and the Law on Reserve Mobilization; and policies and benefits for meritorious individuals.

Voter Nguyen Dinh Loan believes that corruption and negative practices are "internal enemies," and therefore, he proposes that the Party and the State regularly, continuously, and decisively fight against corruption crimes to build trust among the people.

Also related to the issue of corruption and waste, voter Dang Minh Chau believes that the penalties for corruption cases are too lenient and need to be stricter. In addition, a strong campaign should be launched to implement President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, according to which cadres and Party members must be exemplary leaders.

Voter Bui The Dong expressed concern about China's behavior in the South China Sea, continuously sending survey vessels to infringe upon Vietnam's maritime and island sovereignty. Many other voters suggested that the Party and State should take a more resolute stance against China's infringing actions.

Responding to and explaining the voters' suggestions regarding the protection of sovereignty in the East Sea, Mr. Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - stated that the policy of the Party and State is to fight through diplomatic means and foreign relations, through bilateral and multilateral forums, based on international law, maintaining vigilance, and from there, finding ways to handle the situation and resolutely preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.

The voters' suggestions will be compiled, categorized, and forwarded to the central ministries and agencies by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation at the upcoming session.
