Voters submit petitions to the Provincial People's Council via online phone.

On the first working day of the 25th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, through the direct telephone hotline at the session, 10 voters submitted feedback and suggestions to the Provincial People's Council on 15 issues, belonging to 3 areas: land management, environment, compensation and land clearance; construction, transportation, urban development and regulations and policies.

Regarding land management, environment, compensation, and site clearance, voters in Vinh City requested compensation and site clearance for the remaining 15 households when implementing the Vinh University Campus 1 expansion project, and also requested the prompt processing of land use conversion applications for residents.

Voters in Thai Hoa town have petitioned to include the town's landfill in the list of facilities causing serious environmental pollution.

Regarding construction, traffic, and urban management, voters in Vinh City have reported that the road from Coi Market to Vinh College of Education is frequently used by heavy trucks, seriously affecting pedestrians and surrounding residential areas, especially since this area has many schools.

In addition, the Van Xuan road section from Nghi An commune to Nghi Duc commune (Vinh city) has suffered serious subsidence, affecting people's travel. The intersection of Pham Dinh Toai road and Lenin Boulevard has excessively short traffic light durations, impacting urban traffic. Along both sides of Pham Dinh Toai road, near apartment buildings, many residents' vehicles are parked on either side, affecting the daily lives of nearby residents.

Voters in Vinh City also requested that the competent authorities promptly implement the planning for Nguyen Huu Dien Street, located in Tan Thanh 2 block, Le Mao ward, or return the land to the people for use.

Voters in Hung Nguyen district have reported that Provincial Road 542, specifically the section at Van Hong intersection in Hung Trung commune, is damaged and degraded, posing a safety hazard and resulting in numerous traffic accidents.

Voters in Hung Nguyen district also reported that the Provincial People's Committee had a policy to reclaim and compensate for agricultural land plots that are difficult to reshape (distorted, irregularly shaped) and unsuitable for production when implementing the North-South expressway project. However, this has not yet been implemented, and they requested the province to continue paying attention to this matter and ensure the rights of the people.

In addition, the T14 canal construction project in Hung Trung commune was designed to be 800m long, but only 500m was actually built, leading to inadequate drainage; we request that the competent authorities review and resolve this issue.

Voters in Quy Hop district have reported that the water source for the Quy Hop Water Treatment Plant has been polluted since 2017, but the issue remains unresolved. They request that relevant authorities address this problem. They also propose that the province promote the staff and reporters of the district-level Culture, Sports and Communication Center.

Regarding regulations and policies, voters in Dien Chau district have reported not receiving the preferential allowances and subsidies for meritorious individuals as stipulated in the new Government Decree No. 77/2024/ND-CP, which came into effect on July 1, 2024.

Voters in Nam Dan district proposed organizing a provincial-level sports competition for the elderly in the province to promote physical education and sports; and providing computers to orphaned children from very difficult circumstances who are studying at the junior and senior high school levels, creating opportunities for them to have equal access to education.

In addition to receiving feedback from voters via online telephone hotlines, the citizen reception department at the session also received a delegation of over 60 small traders from Vinh Market who submitted petitions related to taxes, fees, and stall rental prices; and received petitions from 3 citizens regarding compensation for land clearance for the high-tech nursery project.

Announcing the receipt of petitions and feedback from voters via online telephone hotline and the work of receiving citizens up to the session, Comrade Bui Duy Son - Chief of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the session, affirmed: The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council is responsible for compiling, reviewing, and forwarding them to the competent authorities for resolution and response to voters according to regulations.
