Voters in Ky Son district hope for increased investment and infrastructure upgrades.

In accordance with the plan of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to meet with voters after the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly, on the morning of June 22nd, the National Assembly delegation, including Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee; and Mr. Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee, full-time National Assembly Delegate, held a meeting with voters in My Ly commune, Ky Son district.

On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, delegate Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee, and full-time National Assembly delegate - provided information on the achievements of the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly.

Accordingly, the National Assembly considered and voted to pass 5 laws, 16 thematic resolutions and the general resolution of the session, gave opinions on 6 draft laws and decided on many other important issues.

The National Assembly also gave its opinion on six draft laws, including: the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (amended); the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment (amended); the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots Level; the Law on Inspection (amended); the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency; and the Law on Oil and Gas (amended).

The delegation of National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province contributed many important opinions, helping to the success of the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly.

In a spirit of democracy and responsibility, voters expressed many thoughts, aspirations, and suggestions to the National Assembly and the Government, requesting that these issues be addressed.

Voter Vi Van Vinh – Head of Yen Hoa village – suggested that the My Ly commune People's Committee is currently developing a community tourism destination in Yen Hoa. However, the highlight of the tourism area, the ancient Yen Hoa tower, is in serious disrepair, and he requested that relevant authorities and departments pay attention to investing in its maintenance and repair.

Regarding information infrastructure, voter Luong Van Nhun – Head of Cha Nga village – suggested investing in a broadcasting system for the commune to facilitate propaganda work; addressing the reality that due to the unique characteristics of the mountainous area with many obstacles and a wide population distribution, propaganda work is only carried out in batches and information cannot be regularly updated.

Voters in the villages of Cha Nga, Xop Duong, Pieng Vai, Pieng Pen, Nhot Lot, Pha Chieng, and Huoi Pun have requested that the National Assembly pay attention to and direct the construction of mobile phone base stations for these seven villages.

Voter Luong Van Thang – Secretary of Hoa Ly village – requested that the State pay attention to building a clean water system for the people of Hoa Ly village, and provide support for the construction of essential roads from Xieng Tam - Xang Tren - Xop Duong - Cha Nga, the route from Yen Hoa - Pieng Pen - Nhot Lot, the route from Hoa Ly - Pha Chieng - Huoi Pun, and the route from Hoa Ly - Pieng Vai, which are currently dirt roads inaccessible to cars, prone to landslides and erosion during rainy weather, making travel very difficult and affecting labor, production, education, and border protection activities.

Voter Già Nỏ Chò, Secretary of the Party Branch of Phà Chiếng village, petitioned regarding the national power grid extension project. According to the plan, the grid was supposed to reach all villages by 2020, but it remains unfinished. Voters hope the National Assembly will pay attention and relevant levels, sectors, and units will direct the early implementation of the project to improve people's lives, promote socio-economic and cultural development, and ensure national defense and security in the area. Voters from nine villages – Yên Hoà, Xằng Trên, Xốp Dương, Cha Nga, Piếng Pền, Nhọt Lệt, Piếng Vai, Phá Chiếng, and Huồi Pún – also requested that National Assembly representatives take note of the issue and forward it to the National Assembly and the Government for consideration and resolution.

Also at the voter consultation meeting in My Ly commune, many voters raised concerns about the lack of school facilities at the five main school locations and the satellite school locations; many households reclaiming paddy fields have not yet received support for land reclamation costs and irrigation systems; and solutions are needed to increase the budget allocated to people to improve forest management and protection...

At the conference, voters heard from the leaders of Ky Son district and relevant departments of the commune and district to answer a number of requests regarding the construction of new rural areas; support for people to reclaim paddy fields; the deterioration of transportation infrastructure and irrigation systems; the issuance of land use right certificates; and policies on payment for forest environmental services…

On behalf of the National Assembly delegation, delegate Hoang Minh Hieu - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Law Committee - highly appreciated the heartfelt and responsible opinions of the voters in Ky Son district. The voters' suggestions are closely related to people's lives and the specific difficulties of remote and disadvantaged communes, serving as an important basis for the National Assembly to consider, formulate, and enact practical policies that meet the needs and aspirations of the people.

On this occasion, the delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An province provided support to 5 poor households to build new houses or repair temporary houses in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, with an amount of 60 million VND per household. The funds were drawn from the social welfare fundraising of the National Assembly delegation of the province.
