On October 2nd, the delegation of National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province held a meeting with voters in Nam Giai commune (Que Phong district) in preparation for the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Attending the meeting with voters were National Assembly deputies: Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security; and Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development; Transport; Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; and Natural Resources and Environment, along with leaders of the Que Phong District People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee.

During the meeting, representatives of the National Assembly delegation from the province informed local voters about the expected content and program of the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly; the results of the activities of the provincial National Assembly delegation from the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly to date; and key tasks for the coming period.
At the conference, voters in Nam Giai commune submitted numerous suggestions to the National Assembly representatives and relevant departments.

Voters in Nam Giai commune have reported that the road from National Highway 16 (Chau Kim commune) to Nam Giai is severely degraded, posing many traffic safety risks. In particular, this road is frequently affected by landslides, causing disruptions during the rainy season, making the transportation of goods and agricultural and forestry products difficult. Voters request that relevant authorities consider upgrading this road to improve transportation, create momentum for socio-economic development, and ensure national defense and security in the border area.

Voters in Nam Giai commune also reported that the forest land in Nam Giai commune, under the management of the Pu Hoat Nature Reserve, cannot be repurposed or exploited. Voters requested that the National Assembly, the Central Committee, and the Government consider planning and allocating land for production to the people.

Regarding health insurance, voters in Que Phong district reported that some local workers who go to work or study elsewhere are not reimbursed by health insurance due to the lack of referral letters, and are not covered by health insurance.
Voters in Que Phong district have requested that the National Assembly consider creating conditions for people to use their health insurance cards from their place of residence for medical examinations and treatment wherever they study or work, without needing a referral letter.

In addition, voters in Tien Phong and Hanh Dich communes also submitted petitions to the National Assembly representatives regarding policies for people with meritorious service; allowances for part-time officials and village health workers; employment for ethnic minority students; land planning for production; electricity grid infrastructure, etc.
Based on the opinions and feedback of voters, leaders of departments, agencies, and Que Phong district have directly responded to and explained a number of issues within their jurisdiction.

Responding to the proposal to upgrade the Chau Kim - Nam Giai road, Mr. Bui Van Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Que Phong district, said that the district has allocated and integrated various sources of funding annually to repair and ensure traffic safety. To comprehensively repair the infrastructure and ensure the transportation needs of the people, the People's Committee of the district has proposed including it in the public investment program for the period 2026-2030 with a total budget of 150 billion VND.
Regarding the request for land allocation for production purposes to people in Nam Giai commune, the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee instructed the Nam Giai Commune People's Committee to review the actual situation of production land, agricultural land, and land requiring conversion to agricultural land, in accordance with the district's general planning for the period 2021-2030, approved by the Provincial People's Committee under Decision 366 dated September 23, 2024, and report to the District People's Committee for submission to the Provincial People's Committee for supplementation and adjustment of the planning.

On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Vi Van Son responded to questions within his authority. He also received feedback and suggestions from voters to forward to the Government, the National Assembly, and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution.
