Voters in Thai Hoa have raised concerns about numerous shortcomings related to projects in the area.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 29th, the Delegation of the 15th National Assembly met with voters in Long Son ward, Thai Hoa town, before the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly, recording 22 opinions.
The National Assembly delegation from constituency No. 2 included comrades: Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security; Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee. Also present were representatives from the leadership of Thai Hoa Town, Long Son Ward, and a large number of voters.
At the conference, delegate Tran Duc Thuan, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security, informed voters about the planned agenda for the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly, which will take place from October 23 to November 29, 2023. Accordingly, the National Assembly will pass 9 draft laws, 2 draft resolutions, and provide opinions on 8 other draft laws; it will also consider and decide on socio-economic issues, the state budget, and oversee other important matters.
Voters have raised concerns about numerous shortcomings related to projects in the area. Voter Nguyen Ngoc Huy from the Intermediate level expressed his frustration regarding the Vuc Giong - Khe Son road project in the town, passing through Long Son ward. Construction began in 2006, and after 17 years, the road, though not yet completed, has already deteriorated significantly. This not only wastes public funds but also creates difficulties for residents in their daily commutes and poses numerous traffic safety risks. Voters requested that a definitive solution be implemented soon to address the consequences of this project.
Regarding the Ban Mong irrigation system (located in Long Son ward), voter Le Quang Bong believes the project is wasteful and ineffective. Despite numerous requests, voters have yet to receive a satisfactory and practical response.
Voter Le Minh Duc, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Intermediate Level Block, stated that Long Son ward is located in a low-lying area, so flooding frequently occurs during the rainy season, affecting the lives and daily activities of the people. Meanwhile, the drainage system in the area is ineffective, therefore, voters suggest that solutions are needed soon to ensure the safety of residents during this rainy season.
In addition, voters also raised concerns about deteriorating road conditions; environmental pollution in residential areas; land-related issues; policies for certain groups; and extra tutoring.
After listening to the voters' opinions, representatives from Thai Hoa town, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs discussed and answered some of the issues within their jurisdiction that the voters had raised.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, Comrade Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee - acknowledged the feedback and suggestions from voters, and forwarded them to the relevant authorities for consideration and resolution.
