Voters in Cua Lo town have raised concerns about numerous shortcomings in projects in the area.
(Baonghean.vn) - Eleven opinions covering 21 different areas were listened to and received by National Assembly representatives during a meeting with voters in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town on the afternoon of April 21st.
On the afternoon of April 21st, National Assembly representative Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province - held a meeting with voters in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town. Also present were representatives from several relevant departments and agencies, as well as leaders of Nghi Hai ward and Cua Lo town.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegates elected in Constituency No. 5, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh provided information on the expected agenda of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly, which will take place from May 22nd to June 23rd, 2023. This is the first time the session will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1 (from May 22nd to June 10th, 2023), and Phase 2 (from June 19th to June 23rd, 2023).

At this session, the National Assembly is expected to consider and pass 7 laws, 4 resolutions, and review and decide on a number of related policies, while also giving opinions on 9 draft laws, including the amended Land Law, which has recently received many comments from the public.
Many suggestions were offered for the development of Cua Lo town.
Participating in the discussion, voter Le Ngoc Tuynh - Head of Block 5, Nghi Hoa Ward, reflected that the Vinpearl Cua Hoi Cable Car Project has been under construction for nearly 5 years, but has not yet become operational, causing frustration among the people. The voter requested that National Assembly representatives, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to directing the acceleration of construction and bringing the project into operation soon, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Furthermore, voter Le Ngoc Tuynh also argued that the 48-month construction time for the Binh Minh road expansion project in Cua Lo town is too long, significantly impacting tourism development. Therefore, the time should be shortened to ensure readiness to welcome tourists to Cua Lo town, especially during the tourist season.
Addressing this issue, Mr. Doan Tien Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town, stated that the town is also very concerned about accelerating the completion of the Binh Minh road expansion project, allocating significant resources and striving to shorten the construction time to 36 months. However, due to limited resources, accelerating the progress faces many difficulties.

Also related to the development of Cua Lo town, voter Hoang Ngoc Quy (Nghi Tan ward) reflected that since September 2022, Cua Lo town has had a policy to demolish the kiosks on the east side of Binh Minh road to re-plan the beach park area. However, to date, the 382 Guesthouse, under the management of the Ministry of Public Security, has not yet been demolished, creating a sense of unease among residents who believe that the town has not acted decisively. Therefore, the voter requested that National Assembly representatives and provincial leaders petition the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police to promptly demolish the 382 Guesthouse and hand over the land to the province and town to implement major tourism projects in the area in the near future.

Reflecting many issues affecting people's lives.
During the meeting, voter Le Huy Duoc (Trung Thanh block, Nghi Hai ward) reflected that there are currently many outstanding complaints that have not been resolved, especially in the field of land. In addition, regarding education, voter Le Huy Duoc also suggested that more attention and investment should be given to the subject of History, especially at the primary and secondary school levels.

Also concerned about children, voter Vo Hoang Phuong (Nghi Hai ward) reflected on the issue of e-cigarette use among teenagers. Mr. Phuong stated that e-cigarettes have now reached the younger generation in various forms, even appearing in schools, therefore, timely measures are needed to protect their health. Voter Vo Hoang Phuong also suggested that regulations controlling the sale and use of e-cigarettes, especially among teenagers, should be implemented soon.

In addition, many issues related to the regime and policies for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, the regime for teachers, medical staff, etc., were also raised at the meeting.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh acknowledged and accepted the opinions of the voters, while also explaining and clarifying some related issues.
