Voters in Thanh Binh Tho commune raised many pressing social issues with their National Assembly representatives.
On the afternoon of May 8th, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Thanh Binh Tho commune, the National Assembly delegates from Nghe An province, Constituency No. 1, including Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu - full-time member of the National Assembly's Law Committee; Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Justice; and Ms. Lo Thi Bao Vy - teacher at Quynh Lap A Primary School, met with voters following the first session of the 16th National Assembly.

At the conference, delegate Hoang Thi Thu Trang briefly reported to the voters on the outstanding results of the first session, in which the National Assembly passed 9 laws and 5 normative legal resolutions, and decided on the structure of the new Government for the term, consisting of 13 Ministries and 4 ministerial-level agencies.
In particular, delegates emphasized new policies that directly impact people's lives, such as: the amended Law on Civil Registration, which allows citizens to register civil events anywhere and use electronic versions; amended tax laws aimed at removing difficulties for citizens and businesses; and policies on salary reform and social security.

In a frank and open atmosphere, voters in Thanh Binh Tho commune raised many pressing issues affecting people's lives, including transportation infrastructure, electricity, resource exploitation, education, and social welfare policies.
Voters reported that many roads have deteriorated, some construction projects are behind schedule, and the electricity system in some areas does not meet the needs of daily life and production.
In addition, sand and gravel mining poses a risk of landslides and environmental pollution; vehicles transporting sand and gravel spill materials, affecting traffic safety and the lives of local people.
Voters petitioned the National Assembly, the Government, and all levels and sectors to pay attention to supporting particularly disadvantaged communes; invest in upgrading transportation, irrigation, and power grid systems; support people in restoring production after natural disasters; and strengthen the management of illegal resource exploitation activities.

At the same time, it is proposed to add the category of damage compensation for extensive and intensive fish farming models in ponds and lakes so that people affected by natural disasters can receive support policies as prescribed.
Voters also requested that the rescue and relief route passing through Thanh Binh Tho commune be expedited and that investment in phase 2 of the Thanh Son - Tho Son road be continued to serve transportation, production, and socio-economic development.
In the field of education, voters reflected on the shortage of teachers and staff at Binh Son Primary School and many other schools in the area, requesting that the province and the education sector promptly supplement staffing to meet teaching and learning requirements.
In addition, voters also suggested reviewing the placement of cultural officials after the reorganization of the administrative apparatus; reflected on the slow progress of some land procedures due to dependence on the provincial level; and requested continued attention to the implementation of policies supporting ethnic minorities and particularly disadvantaged communes in the area.
Leaders of Thanh Binh Tho Commune People's Committee, along with representatives from the Departments of Construction, Agriculture and Environment, Interior, and Industry and Trade, directly explained and clarified many issues within their jurisdiction that voters were concerned about.
On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province, delegate Hoang Minh Hieu respectfully acknowledged and accepted the heartfelt and responsible opinions of the voters; and also discussed and clarified further the recommendations. The delegate stated that during the revision of the 2017 Livestock Law, provisions related to compensation for losses in livestock farming due to natural disasters will be studied and added to ensure the rights of the people; and also to incorporate the voters' recommendations to serve the revision of laws on handling administrative violations. Regarding feedback related to traffic signals and other social issues, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province committed to fully compile them and submit them to the National Assembly, the Government, and central agencies for timely consideration and resolution, contributing to the stability of people's lives and production.
