Voters in Yen Thanh and Nghia Dan districts raised several issues regarding shortcomings in their localities.
(Baonghean.vn) - During the meetings, voters raised many existing problems and limitations in their localities, as well as made suggestions and proposals related to the rights and interests of the people.
On the morning of June 17th, a delegation from the Provincial People's Council, including Mr. Nguyen Van De - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training, Mr. Hoang Quoc Hao - Director of the Department of Justice, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - President of the Provincial Women's Union, met with constituents in the province.Yen Thanh district.
At the conference, provincial People's Council delegates announced the planned agenda and program for the 15th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021, to be held in mid-July. Following this, voters from Duc Thanh, Tho Thanh, Ma Thanh, and Phu Thanh communes frankly raised many existing problems and limitations in their localities, as well as making suggestions and proposals related to the rights and interests of the people. A frequently raised issue was the slow issuance of land use right certificates for residential and agricultural land.

Voters in Phu Thanh commune requested that the province provide funding to dredge drainage canals to improve flood control in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts. Specifically, voters in Phu Thanh commune urged authorities to construct a rescue and relief road from Dien Dong commune in Dien Chau district to Lang Thanh commune, with nearly 3km passing through the residential area of Phu Thanh commune.
Some voters also suggested that agricultural support policies need to be more timely, creating favorable conditions for farmers to produce. Policies for part-time community workers are still inadequate, including the benefits for those who are no longer active due to community mergers and downsizing…
After receiving and explaining some issues within their jurisdiction, the provincial People's Council delegates requested the district and commune authorities to review and propose recommendations to the province to amend regulations, in order to resolve practical difficulties related to land allocation without proper authority and to ensure the rights of the people.

In an open and democratic spirit, at the meeting, voters from the three communes frankly reflected on many existing problems and limitations in their localities, as well as making suggestions and proposals related to the rights and interests of the people, such as: policies and regulations for people with meritorious service; requests for support from higher authorities to build cultural centers in villages after the merger; and prompt payment of benefits to village officials who will no longer work after the merger. Regarding rural transportation, voters from Nghia Mai and Nghia Yen communes hoped that the government would invest in building several roads to facilitate communication, trade for the people, and education for their children...
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Provincial and Nghia Dan District People's Councils specifically explained the issues of concern to voters within their authority and responsibility; they also promised to fully convey the voters' opinions to the relevant levels and sectors for prompt resolution.
