Cua Lo beach is being cleaned up by sand screening machines ahead of the 2026 tourist season.
This year, Cua Lo beach has put into operation a sand screening machine, which helps to quickly collect seashells and waste, restoring clean, smooth sand and contributing to improving the quality of the tourism environment.
In recent days, along Cua Lo beach, many tourists and locals have been fascinated watching the sand sifting machine operate smoothly, moving along the shoreline, renewing the sand and collecting waste wherever it goes.

According to observations, the machine is capable of efficiently separating and collecting small waste materials such as seashells, snail shells, plastic bags, and plastic fragments, which are very difficult to handle manually. After just one pass, the beach surface becomes clean, smooth, and uniform, creating a noticeably more pleasant and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

According to the Cua Lo ward authorities, this equipment was put into trial by the Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company on March 23rd. Initial results show that the machine operates effectively, cleans quickly, and can collect many different types of waste. This will be an important solution to prepare the beach environment for this year's tourist season.
Previously, beach cleaning relied primarily on manual labor or rudimentary equipment. Picking up trash, raking sand, and collecting shells were time-consuming and labor-intensive, and it was difficult to thoroughly remove small debris mixed in the sand. Especially during peak tourist seasons, the large amount of waste generated increased the pressure on environmental sanitation.

Introducing sand screening machines not only reduces the labor burden for workers but also improves cleaning efficiency. With its automatic screening mechanism, the machine can process large areas in a short time, ensuring the beach remains clean and ready to welcome tourists.
Representatives from Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company stated that the equipment is specifically designed for beaches, capable of flexible operation on sandy surfaces, and suitable for local conditions. In the future, after a comprehensive evaluation of the trial's effectiveness, the company will gradually introduce the equipment for widespread use, contributing to increased productivity, reduced waste collection time, and thus making marine environmental sanitation faster, more efficient, and more professional.

Besides applying new technologies in environmental sanitation, for the 2026 tourist season, Cua Lo will continue to implement many upgrade and beautification projects to improve the quality of service for tourists. Notable projects include the construction of additional public shower facilities, the renovation and upgrading of the coastal transportation system, and the planting of over 1,300 ornamental coconut trees to create a cool, green space characteristic of the coastal town. These changes are expected to contribute to a more modern and attractive appearance, promising a vibrant and successful tourist season.
