In mid-March 2026, preparations for the tourist season were bustling and vibrant throughout the streets of Cua Lo ward. At many restaurants and hotels, it was easy to spot workers diligently toiling from early morning until late afternoon, rushing to complete each item. This busy atmosphere has become a familiar sight every season, as businesses simultaneously "renovate" their appearance, ready to welcome the large influx of tourists to the coastal town.

Mr. Le Minh Tuan, the owner of a restaurant on Cua Lo beach, said that this year his family decided to invest nearly 70 million VND to renovate the entire reception area and dining space. Not only did he repair the facade, but Mr. Tuan also replaced the flooring with non-slip material, installed a new lighting system, added more greenery, and expanded the outdoor seating area to enhance the experience for tourists. According to Mr. Tuan, today's tourists are not only interested in the quality of the food but also value the space, comfort, and closeness to the sea; therefore, investment is necessary if they want to retain customers.

Following this trend, many food and beverage establishments in Cua Lo are also transforming themselves towards greater professionalism. Ms. Phan Thi Huong, the owner of a restaurant, shared: "This year, my family replaced the tables and chairs, renovated the kitchen, and redesigned the entire space to be more open, maximizing the use of natural sea breezes. The investment aims not only to improve service quality but also to build a friendly, clean restaurant image, suitable for the increasingly high demands of tourists."

Alongside upgrading their facilities, restaurants are also paying special attention to the core element: food quality. Many establishments have proactively worked directly with local fishermen to ensure a daily supply of fresh seafood, from squid, shrimp, and fish to crabs… purchased as soon as the boats dock early in the morning and brought to the restaurant's tanks. This not only ensures freshness but also reduces intermediaries, contributing to price stability and offering tourists quality meals at reasonable prices.

Not only the food and beverage sector, but also the accommodation system in Cua Lo ward is entering its final stages of completion before the peak season. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dat, a representative of a hotel on Binh Minh Street, said that the establishment has spent many months comprehensively upgrading its rooms. From replacing furniture, upgrading air conditioning, renovating bathrooms to adding amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi and smart TV… all aim to provide maximum convenience for tourists.

According to statistics, Cua Lo ward currently has more than 300 accommodation establishments with approximately 11,000 rooms, capable of serving tens of thousands of visitors per day during peak season.

To ensure a healthy tourism environment, all establishments are committed to publicly and transparently displaying prices, preventing price gouging, and contributing to building an image of a civilized and friendly destination. In addition, the recruitment of seasonal staff has been implemented early, with many establishments having completed staffing and ready to operate as soon as the tourist season begins.

The atmosphere of preparation is not limited to businesses but also spreads throughout residential areas. Local residents actively participate in cleaning and tidying up their homes, contributing to a clean, beautiful, and well-maintained appearance for the seaside town.

Many new features for the 2026 tourist season.

Besides the proactive efforts of the people and businesses, this year, Cua Lo ward has recorded many notable highlights in infrastructure investment and tourism product development, creating a new look for the coastal town.

One of the most noticeable changes is the system of freshwater shower facilities along the beach. According to the plan, all the old facilities damaged after the 2025 natural disaster have been dismantled and replaced with 15 new, larger facilities with modern designs, ensuring aesthetics and convenience for tourists. These projects are being implemented through a public-private partnership model, reducing the burden on the budget while aiming for professional and long-term operation.

Simultaneously, the program to plant 1,300 ornamental coconut trees along the coastline has been completed, creating a lush, green, and harmonious appearance for the Cua Lo coastal area. These rows of coconut trees swaying in the sun and wind not only contribute to a distinctive landscape but also provide a sense of closeness and relaxation for tourists visiting and vacationing. This is considered one of the outstanding features that will enhance the image of Cua Lo tourism this summer.

Transportation infrastructure has also received significant investment. According to the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Planning Department of Cua Lo Ward, the ward is currently paving 17 roads in the area with a total cost of approximately 50 billion VND. Main roads, especially the Binh Minh and Mai Thuc Loan routes, are being upgraded comprehensively to ensure smooth and convenient travel.

The biggest highlight of this year's tourism season is the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2026, themed "The Call of the Sea in All Four Seasons." Unlike previous years, the festival is designed as a series of activities spanning the year, aiming to reduce seasonality and attract tourists at various times. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on the evening of April 25th at Binh Minh Square, featuring a spectacular artistic program, high-altitude fireworks, and many other attractive activities.

Beyond just the opening ceremony, a series of events such as the sea carnival, food festival, sports competitions, and tourism experience programs will be organized throughout, creating a rich and diverse range of activities. In particular, the orientation towards year-round tourism development is considered a new step, opening up opportunities for Cua Lo to more effectively exploit its existing potential.
