Cua Lo: A sacred ceremony to pray for the souls of heroic martyrs.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 3rd, at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Cua Lo Town, the management board of Phuc Lac Pagoda, in coordination with the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, organized a memorial service for the heroic martyrs, with the participation of 200 Buddhists, along with a large number of people and relatives of the martyrs.

During the two wars of resistance against France and the United States, many sons and daughters of Cua Lo town enthusiastically joined the fight to defend the homeland, and more than 800 of them fell on the battlefields to protect the country.

The ceremony included traditional rituals such as offering incense and flowers at the Memorial; a prayer ceremony; and a Buddhist ceremony to invoke the spirits of the heroic martyrs, praying for the souls of those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and for the peace of the country today.

The memorial service is a meaningful activity expressing the profound gratitude of the Party Committee, government, armed forces, and people of the town towards the great contributions and heroic sacrifices of the martyrs to the revolutionary cause and the defense of the Fatherland, reflecting the spirit of gratitude and reciprocity in Buddhism.

Building upon that heroic tradition, the Party Committee, government, and people of Cua Lo Town pledge to unite and work together to overcome difficulties and strive to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized coastal tourist town of Cua Lo.
