Passengers and crew members are not allowed to carry on board 15-inch MacBook Pro models manufactured between September 2015 and February 2017.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam prohibits the transport of Apple 15-inch laptops in any form, including in the aircraft cabin, checked baggage or via cargo. Passengers who violate the regulations may be refused transport and fined.

On a flight, if the flight crew discovers a prohibited computer, the owner must turn off the computer, not charge the battery, and comply with aviation requirements.

15-inch MacBook Pros sold between mid-2015 and February 2017 may have batteries that can overheat, posing a fire safety risk.

Previously, on August 14, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a similar ban on Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro, sold from mid-2015 to February 2017.

The aforementioned MacBook Pro models contain unsafe batteries that, in some cases, may overheat and pose a fire or explosion risk.

To see your device's serial number, click the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen and select "About this Mac." To find out if your device is included in the recall, visit Apple's website and enter the serial number.

If your product is on the list, you should stop using it as recommended by Apple and send it to an Apple service center for a free repair. Processing time may take 1-2 weeks.

In June, Apple began a voluntary battery recall and replacement program for 15-inch MacBook Pros sold between September 2015 and February 2017 due to overheating issues. The US tech company said only a "limited number" of units were affected. 13-inch MacBook Pro models produced during the same period did not have the issue.
