According to Lai Xuan Thanh, Director of the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority, the Authority has not yet requested Vietnam Airlines to suspend flights to France.

The decision was made during a meeting on the afternoon of November 14th between the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority and relevant agencies of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Standing Office of the National Civil Aviation Security Committee, following information received about the terrorist attacks in Paris, France.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines, the national airline of Vietnam, announced that its flight schedule to and from Paris remains unchanged.

Specifically, on November 14th, flight VN19 departing from Hanoi to Paris landed safely at Charles de Gaulle Airport at 06:02 (local time, which is 13:02 Vietnam time). Passengers completed their departure procedures as usual.

Flight VN18 departing from Paris to Hanoi is scheduled to take off at 12:10 local time (19:10 Vietnam time).

The French Foreign Ministry announced that the airport remains open as usual, but security has been tightened, so security checks may take longer.

Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers departing from Paris arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure time and have all necessary identification documents ready.

Passengers needing to check information about flights to/from France can contact the hotline at +84 4 913685496.

To assist passengers, Vietnam Airlines has waived fees for refunds, cancellations, and changes to confirmed tickets on flights between Vietnam and France on November 15, 16, and 17.
