Military Region 4 Engineering Department: Handing over "Houses of Gratitude"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Military Region 4 (October 15, 1945 - October 15, 2015), on the morning of October 6, the Technical Department of Military Region 4 held a ceremony to hand over a "House of Compassion" to Major Phan Thi Ly (Vinh City), an administrative staff member of the Technical Department, who was facing housing difficulties.

The single-story house, with a construction area of ​​75 m2, has a total value of 300 million VND. Of this amount, the "House of Compassion" fund of the Ministry of National Defense contributed 70 million VND; the Technical Department contributed 30 million VND; Workshop 467 provided a loan of 50 million VND and supported 15 days of labor; the remaining amount was contributed by the family and relatives.

The completion and handover of the house demonstrates the heartfelt compassion and mutual support of the officers and soldiers of the Technical Department in particular, and the Armed Forces of Military Region 4 in general, towards the family of a military personnel in difficult circumstances. It also serves to encourage Comrade Phan Thi Ly to stabilize her life, feel secure in her work, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
