On December 22nd, the Nghe An Market Management Department held a meeting to summarize its work in 2022 and plan for 2023. Attendees included: Mr. Hoang Anh Duong - Deputy Director General of the General Department of Market Management; Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Huong - Secretary and Director of the Nghe An Market Management Department; and representatives from relevant departments and agencies.

In 2022, thanks to coordinated efforts and decisive direction in the fight against smuggling and trade fraud, the Nghe An Market Management Department inspected 2,773 cases, of which 2,447 were processed; the total value of fines collected exceeded 8.2 billion VND.

Results of handling some common types of violations: Regarding firecrackers, the Market Management Department transferred 2 cases to the police, involving 82 kg of firecrackers worth 180 million VND, and prosecuted 1 case/1 suspect. Regarding e-commerce...,Authorities detected and handled 22 violations with a total value of 450 million VND. They also handled 248 violations related to food hygiene and safety, collecting a total of 1.179 billion VND in fines. Regarding violations related to counterfeit goods and trademark infringement, 32 cases were processed during the year, with a total fine of 503.76 million VND.

Commitments have been signed by all 11 key companies and distributors of gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as 704 gas stations, to ensure uninterrupted supply and to refrain from speculation and hoarding in anticipation of price increases.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Hoang Anh Duong - Deputy Director General of the General Department of Market Management - acknowledged the achievements of the Nghe An Market Management Department. In the coming time, the Nghe An Market Management Department needs to build upon its achievements and strive to successfully complete its professional tasks.

Towards the end of 2022, consumer demand increased significantly, and the situation regarding smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods is predicted to become more complex. The Deputy Director General requested the Nghe An Market Management Department to thoroughly implement the directives of the Government, the National Steering Committee 389, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the General Department of Market Management, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Steering Committee 389 to effectively combat smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods before, during, and after the Lunar New Year.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen coordination and effectively combat and prevent violations. Strengthen control over key routes, improve management of areas, warehouses, and depots, and intensify inspections of essential goods to prevent speculation and ensure price stability.
